Checking in daily to maintain focus #9

Yes, I was sober for 6 months and read and used the app a lot in that time. Then it all went a bit wrong, so I’m back here reading, knowing I’m not alone and pushing forward.

Day 35 here. I used to go through a half gallon of vodka a weekend (on top of going to the bar every day through the week). Now that I’m committed to sobriety, this place does help and has helped me keep from relapsing. Eventhough I’m a month in, it’s still difficult at times, but I’m soldiering on.

You didn’t let me down Bob, you are here for yourself. It’s your recovery road not mine!

@SweetTea, I hope you keep it up. Congrats on the 33 days.

And @Dutchie, congrats on the big 90. The bad news is we’re not sober twins.

The good news is,

I found out we never were!

I’m celebrating day 89! Looking forward to tomorrow.

You are definitely not alone!! Glad you’re back. Sounds like you know how it all goes. Just want to encourage you to keep going.

Day 85. Calm after the storm. Happy the wind died down. Almost 70cm/2 feet of snow fell over past couple days :snowflake::snowflake: Back from a Scottish style pub for lunch with family and had water while hubby had Corona  No whiskey for me

I immediately was disturbed by the size of the drink too. I would always get a double, no way a double would fit in the dinky glass it was served in. :joy:

Day 56 check in! I couldn’t do it without you guys! I havent weighed myself but I suddenly look much better fitness wise even though I am eating whatever I want. I noticed some abs! As for my mental health… Some days I am on top of the world and others I feel like I am just trying to make it through the day. Today I am just making it through the day. Anyway, good job everyone! Happy to see you all here! :revolving_hearts:

Day 12 sober. This coming weeks I have to start sooner being in my job. Forgive me if I cannot be very active here this month. I suppose I will be exhausted because my chronic tiredness didn’t improve.

Day 37 months. It was a great day. Drove around for hours and gave rides to strangers walking and chatted with random old men. First sunday I didnt work all day in forever and it was just great. God bless and hope you all stay strong.
