Checking in, no longer

The checking in to maintain daily focus thread is all over the place. I checked in for years, now I don’t know where I am checking in at. People I used to recognize are all new. I am not going to be checking in to maintain daily focus anymore. It is too split up.

It closes down so fast with the 2500 post cap it’s tough to keep up. I hope you keep posting in other places though

Nothing against the site, I understand why it is split up. Just a lot of weekend warriors. At least they are trying but I question the motives sometimes.

I’ve come to the conclusion it doesn’t matter what thread you intend to start everyone ends up randomly chatting on it.

Yeah it isn’t a problem really, I was just frustrated how it got broken up. I always had a few names I recognized through the years comment. If someone wants to check in or just talk, there isn’t anything wrong with it. Popularity of a site isn’t a bad thing. I think we all can tell who is serious and who isn’t, when it is obvious.

I am still sober. 1066 days. It will be hree years January 10. I am very involved in the Fellowship.Meetings and coffee, lunch with fellow drunks. I have two friends with lots of sobriety that pretty much act as mentors. They give me great advice and support. I do need a new sponsor. My current sponsor is MIA most of the time with family, work, school, and his own sobriety. Keep sober everyone. Life is better sober.
