This makes me remember when the TV stations signed off every night! Guess I just aged myself
Always watched with Dad!
Omg! The nostalgia here is amazing So many great shows! Like you @Matt , I first believed Sesame Street was the only show on TV
but then…
America’s Funniest Home Videos
Mighty Mouse
Felix the Cat
Mr. Bean
Care Bears
Looney Tunes
Inspector Gadet
Gargoyles
Animaniacs
Duck Tales
Batman
Goof Troop
Power Rangers
Rug Rats
Doug
Recess
Ren and Stimpy
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Rocco’s Modern Life
Eureka’s Castle
Pokémon (1996)
Simpsons (which my mom didn’t approve of)
Geez, that’s enough! It’s starting to hurt my brain! I remember so many more, but not their names! Aahhh!
Finally, someone mentioned the Gargoyles!
I actually re-watched it during one of my covid infections… thank you Disney plus subscription
And what’s going on with people here not liking Scooby Doo? I can still happily spend a Saturday morning on the sofa watching Scooby… and I’m in my mid 40s!
Perfection
I watched it a bit later in life as wasn’t exactly made when I was still a kid
@HolySquid I hardly remember Gargoyles, but I just know it was on before the sun came up and I frieken loved it!
@GOKU2019 And every girl wanted to be the pink ranger I seem to remember liking the white one
Who is this?
I think I posted about this one before. But not in this thread. So why not. Floris. A medieval Dutch count/knight, sort of an answer to Ivanhoe. With Rutger Hauer as Floris and Paul Verhoeven directing. Just one season made in 1969 but it reran for years after.
OMG! I was obsessed with those books in 5th grade and was so psyched when they turned it into a show! I had a VHS full of episodes I taped off tv
I almost forgot about Tales from the Crypt! I don’t remember if that was actually a kids show tho Either way, I watched it
Scooby was OK, but Scrappy Doo sucked.
Super Ted
Spot the dog
I lived right above you. We never had cable growing up, but we lived close enough to Canada that our antennas picked up their stations so I watched alot of Canadian tv. Which just reminded me of Pingu! Anyone?!
My grandmother had cable, so that’s where I got my nickelodeon fix(and MTV too, when they still played music).
Omg Pingu. A pure Canadian classic.
Totally agree with ya.
Hobo Kelly. Watched this in the morning when I was a little tyke. It aired on KCOP Channel 13 in Los Angeles, CA, early '70’s.
