Concert Goers

Talking with my friend Clara today I told her I went to The Counting Crows concert this wk. She asked how I went to the concert and didn’t drink? I responded with SLOWLY lol. This was my first sober concert I’ve been to. What was yours?

I saw them at the Greek Theatre in LA once. But I enjoyed Toad The Wet Sprocket, the back up band better.

But my first sober concert was Mark Knopfler, The Dire Straits guy. Also at the Greek Theatre in the Hollywood Hills. Best venue ever. It was a blast never waiting in line to get drinks or to have to pee. It was so much fun sober. Same with ball games.

I’ve seen them too- at Jones Beach here in NY, I think LIVE was there too.
I started taking my daughter to concerts w me and have always gone sober w her and w other friends as well. Trust me- the music hits the same, especially when the bass is good- saw imagine dragons w her 2 Valentine’s Days ago and it was AMAZING! We just saw P!NK on Thursday and she was DEF sober, her aerial skills are ridiculous!
Enjoy live music every opportunity u can- and being sober for it takes nothing away from the awesomeness

Saw The Smithereens with Dishwalla in July. We had a nice sushi dinner before the show…no alcohol…and had a blast. About two years prior to that saw The English Beat…another sober show. Great fun and memories.

Went to Sevendust last year, I was the DD, my good buddy and his gf were hammered before we even left to go :man_shrugging:

I had a great time, his gf left her phone in my truck and didn’t get it back for weeks :rofl:

Lizzo during my first round sober a couple years ago. I’ve been to many sober concerts since, and it’s actually become one of my favorite sober activities. Such a pleasure to be present to appreciate and REMEMBER the experience. A couple times I’ve had to leave early or move if people are too drunk around me, that’s well worth the trade off. Well done!

I saw Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys when I was less than 24 hours sober. I was very on edge that night.

I saw F.M. again last September, a much more enjoyable experience! Except that’s where I got COVID, not super cool.
