Conglomerated List of "Things that can F*ck right off* (Part 3)

I just got reimbursed $601 for a pothole in San Diego. I guess they are a little bit better here. It took about 6 1/2 months.

Me too, me too. I hate going to bed with daylight and waking up in daylight. No real sleep without sleeping meds. I’m looking forward to normal evenings, when I walk the dog past 8 pm and wear a light jacket. And it’s dark when i go to bed afterwards.

@erntedank @Mno and my other toasty friends…We’re getting a big heatwave in my area of Canada this week too  similar temps. And humid!! About 43°c with humidex. Ugh. Neither me, my curly hair, lack of a/c nor perimenopause are happy about this :joy:

I wish you luck, because it’s not fun at all. Get all the ICE in the freezer now! I was worried mostly about my cats and how lethargic they got, it was terrifying to see my boys just get floppy and not move. They bounced back to normal as soon as it dipped in temps thankfully!

I hope it’s quick and passes on :folded_hands:

Be safe, stay hydrated, perimenopause + heat is an ugly combo. I remember vividly and I’m still astonished that my ex is still alive after his bullshit fucking with this combo :joy::folded_hands: I think I was too exhausted to cook him

Men: putting 2 yoga mats next to each other. They are brilliant taking their space. Wtf.

Could be partnered? Shit if I know but that’s my guess.

? Partnered?

His gf had a separate mat next to him.

But during the class he found out that his ego only needed one mat…

I read this essay/extended piece just this week (I read the English translation, it’s a French work) :

I Hate Men by Pauline Harmange | Pages of Hackney I Hate Men by Pauline Harmange | Pages of Hackney

PS, to my male peers : please don’t come at me. I don’t hate you. I hate ā€œprivilegeā€. I hate status quo. I hate men who take two yoga mats.

It’s just a link to the book. It’s called I Hate Men by Pauline Harmange. Actually an essay I think, took just over an hour to read but made some awesome points. Men should read it more than women tbh.

I accessed it thru Bookbeat.

No offense taken. Like grandma used to say, ā€œmost of us are pretty okay when we’re asleep.ā€œ

Thank you for the literature tip!
Just read it in German, it’s great.

Good work! It helped me a great deal to step into my power and take space. I needed it this week! A lot of job hunting stress and then I read a Harvard study that men apply to jobs that they feel they are only 60% qualified for, whereas women ensure they are 100% qualified and won’t try unless they are sure (on the whole). Grrrr. So much to unpack about gender inequality. We can only stick up for ourselves! Hugs to you, my fellow strong lady bad ass :flexed_biceps:t3::heart::heart:

Wanna give more than one heart :sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart:

I’m one of those women who raised her voice in anger and fury all my life (italian grandma & her temper that skipped 1 generation = my mum and blooms in me). Plus my parents raised me to demand equality, speak my truth and don’t tolerate bullshit like they had to often in their joblifes. In private they were honest, straight, reliable people. And it could get loud. I was never raised to be nice or a good girl, a lack of social equipment that didn’t serve me well in my younger years together with my temper :see_no_evil_monkey::joy: I still wonder sometimes how I managed to not kill my ex. Must be some kind of weird love mechanism :joy:

It wasn’t your fault my dear, love (or lust) causes chemical imbalance! :face_with_peeking_eye::face_with_spiral_eyes:
