Any gamblers or tech smart friends on here know of a good content blocking app for gambling problem? All the ones I find seem to block only websites you can list, but there’s so many I could list off. I’m just wondering if there’s one that blocks certain type of content not just whatever website you input

To help me recover from my porn problem I got a flip phone: old style phone with no smart anything. Only capable of making phone calls and sending SMS texts (no smart texts).
It was helpful in the early days when I needed to get clean to get my sobriety started.

If you wanna get deeper than that, you can also get rid of your computer and only use the computer at the library or some other public site.
Personally I didn’t do that, instead I got a program called EverAccountable and I have a recovery coach who gets a report. I check in with him weekly. It’s working for me, but only because I am also doing a recovery group and going to meetings every two days. The personal accountability and the change in my heart is what’s keeping me going. The change in the heart is key. It’s doing more than any porn-blockers ever did for me.

If you’re tech savvy enough you can bypass any of those apps. I had about five running due to my tendency to get black out drunk and text people I shouldn’t/post things I shouldn’t on the internet etc. And I always, without fail, managed to get in my phone to send whatever vile poison blackout drunk me wanted to send.
I agree with Matt, your best bet is to downgrade your tech. At least for a while, while you work on the underlying issues keeping you addicted to gambling in the first place.
