Cover challenge. Bring it on!

Definitely for metal fans but I enjoyed it. :+1:

Love this one. Fantastic! Goes to my playlist.

That’s super hard because music is a big part of my universe. Now without a doubt the following song isn’t at the top of my list and I promise you that because I’m kinda nuts about this kind of thing, I am about to work on a list that will take me days to finish . However, off the top of my head Joan Jett and the Blackhearts Crimson and Clover released in 1982, originally performed by Tommy James and the Shondells in 1968. As is the case with every great cover, the original freggin rocks too.

Joan Jett rocks but not because of that it is a great cover. I do know the original too.

Here is my favourite cover by Joan Jett…nevermind that I am a huge CCR fan. Especially that solo in the middle kills me. Hope you like it!

Not exactly a cover but a collaboration for, well, I got scolded for my mother’s day call.
I became what they wanted and more but was never good enough. So, for my brother who stood up to them for me. RIP.

I love you mom! Even if you hate me and keep me responsible from my brothers’ death.

Now, this a piece of art like Mona Lisa that can’t be covered!
Open to the alternatives, always, but…

I want to break free of family drama.:rofl::rofl: True!

Lulu, well I haven’t heard that ever, or at least I don’t remember hearing it, which sort of shames me. I ought to have. I always enjoy covers for this one reason, you get to know what music that band/singer enjoys. It’s kind of an invitation into their life and a vantage of what brought them to where they are. That’s pretty cool.

Side note: when I was 12 or 13 my seemingly very drunk neighbor sang this song extremely loudly one rainy night from his garage. It was about 11 o’clock at night. My entire complex was privy to this display. I can never hear this song without thinking of Abel.

Just heard this one and gosh this song gets me. Gives me goosebumps and gets me a little chocked up. Not sure why. Lol.
But it’s George Jones. Hank jr. covers it. But I really like this one .

Cyndi Lauper was big when I was in college. Love her. This song especially touches my soul. Later she relased an album called “At Last”, I recommend it.

This cover is not in my genre but I enjoyed it. Thank you for helping broadening my taste.

I discovered this song and the remarkable artist who performs it during a binge watch. I will not reveal the name of the series because there is all kinds of triggers there you can possibly imagine. I doesn’t bother me but might bother some of us.

I love music, discovering new and old, all of it. It is amazing I have never heard his name, probably heard his songs I assume. This one hits home however. I could only find one cover. Here is both. You will be the judge of which sounds better.

Waiting for contenders! :grin::grin::grin:

If this doesn’t give you chills, check your pulse. This song takes on a whole new meaning when it comes from the craggy visage of a man who recognizes the destruction he has wrought on others. Johnny Cash covers Trent Reznor.
