Hello friend,
I always wanted to ask what exactly you are doing with this lymphatic drainage. Is it a treatment you are getting? :hugs:

Wednesday :cross_mark:
Thursday - strength workout and spinning session. I didn’t enjoy this spinning that much, the music wasn’t my thing, but at least I did something!

Oh man that bites - At least you know you tried it out.
Movement to music and not much dancing - Yeah I would be disappointed too.

Got a 4mi run in today after being sedentary since monday. Its crazy the principle of a body in motion stays in motion and a body at rest stays at rest

I am working on clearing out my cells and one way to do it is via Lymph drainage. One of my conditions is that my body is creating excess histamine. I have a intolerance to histamine and no medications would work. As described to me - I am essentially allergic to myself

I have been studying up on it for a few months now and still feels like I’m learning new techniques LOL. I did have it done professionally but I need to do it multiple times a day and do it daily to help my cells regenerate without the excess histamine. Professionally would be way too costly.

Right now I am doing a full body drainage at the gym in the shower as it is best to do skin on skin. I am opening up all 7 lymph drainage points and working from head to toe to clear out fluid throughout the body. Then doing different isolated areas during the day. ie - Facial drainage and abdomen drainage. I am also doing some rebounding (which is a light bounce on a trampoline with gentle movements) this is also an effective way to drain the lymphs but you have to make sure to open up the “gateways” first.

Your body is split in 4 quadrants and you have to make sure the fluid in each area goes to its main drainage point. The main drainage points are: Collar bone, Arm Pit, Groin

Gateways: Start with opening collar bone first, then armpits, Ears, inner elbow, stomach, groin, behind the knee

I am on a very restricted low histamine, spleen healthy and low estrogen diet. This is also supposed to clear out the histamine in my cells. The doctors have all said it is impossible and not to bother so this is just something that I have been researching and studying and trying out for myself. The diet is now 3+ months and I have only been doing a proper lymph drainage for about 2+ weeks. I really don’t have a time line but thinking by end of the year I may start to see some changes

I am continuing to educate myself and adjusting my methods as needed. Hope that you were able to follow my rambles in this response. :hugs:

Thanks so much for the extensive explanation!
I hope it gives you some relief!

I skipped my class today, after a 10-shift I finally cancelled
 :cross_mark:

Tomorrow I’m registered for a spinning class at 9:15! Won’t skip that one! :flexed_biceps:t2:

Checking in

50-minute spinning class at 9:00 am! :flexed_biceps:t2:

The music was cool, but the cleat on one of my spinning shoes had moved, and I kept slipping out of the pedal, not good
I’ve taken them home to adjust them properly!

Tuesday- At home workout (upper body)
Wednesday- At home workout (core)

Looking forward to mid-Sept wheb I get get myself into the gym for weights and back to my usual weight lifting routine. I feel like I have definitely lost a bit of strength/muscle :frowning:

I didn’t get to the gym much this week. But I did get chest/bicep and back/tricep workouts done. I also played basketball one night and ultimate frisbee last night. I am OK with it considering my schedule and my lack of assistance with childcare.

School will be starting soon. Son will be doing soccer and also expressed interest in American football. It could be a good outlet for him and teach him some toughness. We’ll see. Anyway, point is, I’ll have more time to get back to consistency in a couple of weeks.

In the mean time, I can work towards healthier eating.

I need to find some consistency with my fitness.

I’m aiming for:

3 x strength training

2 x runs (nothing crazy)

2 x yoga.

Today was an hour of strength training - upper body. I sweated. A lot :sweat_droplets:

Happy weekend. Today was super fun!
We did a Hyrox physical fitness test. My time was, 27:14

1000m Run
50 burpee broad jump
100 stationary lunges
1000m row
30 hand release pushups
100 wall ball shots

Also finally was successful on my (kipping) hand stand push ups! I managed 3. Need to string them together now but getting there. :clap:t3::flexed_biceps:t3:

Well done! They do hyrox at my gym, and people are crazy about it! But so far I’ve never joined one of those classes
I’ll leave that to the young and fit!

Thank you! It was fun but hard! Not sure I will jump on the hyrox wagon but I always love a good challenge and trying new things.

Challenges are always good, but just the hand release push-ups would be a big fail for me! Couldn’t even do one of them properly, so well done! :slightly_smiling_face:
