Love me some Tricep Pushdowns
Sorry friend. Thoste hurt. Could just be a blocked lymph gland / duct. Sometimes they take more time and loads of hot compresses but still smart to get it checked out by your doctor.
Interesting that you both are dealing with it at the same time. Not sure if environment can be a factor for causing these swollen glands.
Thanks Yeah it seems to be going away now, these seem to happen occasionally for me over the past few years. Might be normal tbh, but Iām gonna ask my doctor about those soon
Four spin classes in five days got me in the feelsā¦.
Managed my strength training classes on top and a body balance class as well
At some point youāre allowed to be proud of the progressā¦..right?
2.5 months of focusing on my goal.
Of course!!! Always be proud of your progress in my opinion I find showing off my progress helps me stick to fitness because then I get more dopamine from it
My brain LOVES to chase dopamine so yeah
Wow!!! 30lbs weight loss in 2.5 months Youāre doing great!!!
Fantastic work!! Thats some serious dedication there!
Of course! I think its always good to be proud of your efforts and seeing the progress is an awesome reward for all your hard work. You are doing amazingly well
Lovely - have fun!
Nothing stupendous going on over here. But I have been getting better about getting a yoga routine in most mornings. Over 10k steps every day this week. Did a light back and triceps workout today too after some rowing machine.
Feeling like my body needs a little rest because I was pretty engaged with my workouts for the last 10 weeks.
Just posting my daily update here: just did chest/back/shoulders
Iām probably at the most physically strong Iāve ever been. Iāve been at a similar strength level back in 2019 until I fell out of gym habits from 2020-2024, but I was leaner back then and not quite as strong.
I feel like once Iām done cutting and my lean bulk starts happening with the water weight back, I should be even stronger which will be nice
Btw quick question: what are yallās opinions on starting creatine? I hear a lot of good things about it, although from my understanding too much creatine can cause kidney damage. Iāve never taken creatine or anything other than my multivitamin, 2000 IU of vitamin D3 (I have a vitamin D deficiency according to my doctor so yeah), and protein. But Iām considering going on creatine but in a low, safe dosage that wonāt destroy my kidneys.
I probably wonāt be starting creatine until I really research it, probably talk to my doctor, and see peopleās opinions on it first though.
Honestly for creatine I might just eat more red meat because from my understanding creatine from oneās diet comes mainly from stuff like that. But I also donāt cook enough so it would be hard for me to do that unless I learn to make a steak or something haha
Do it, i donāt. But, just make sure you drink a ton of water daily.
Is all i say.
Creatine effects the brain in such a good way. Also when youāre in lack of sleep mode helps that too.
EDIT: I used too.
I took creatine everyday until i stopped going to the gym for summer break. Ill be restarting it in september Its a great supplement imo. I did feel stronger (was able to push myself further also) but i like that it also promotes brain health. I actually felt more alert and focused as well. Its also one of the most researched supplements in the fitness industry. Some people do worry abour kidney health, but i believe if u have healthy kidneys to begin with, it wont be a problem. Thats what i was told anyway lol its normal to take 3-5 grams per day of creatine. Some people will go thru a loading phase first to saturate their muscles with it but i never did that. Apparently doing that can give u stomach upset. And remember to drink a sh!t load of water lol
Okay ty @Butterflymoonwoman and @MTSober yee I was always conflicted about creatine cuz my high-school weight training coach, this dude used to be in the CFL on the Toronto Argonauts team and such, really knowledgeable but I remember he told my weight training class that he basically got mild permanent kidney damage from too much creatine apparently. But at the same time, I notice most people donāt get that kidney damage so idk.
If I recall correctly from my last blood test that had blood creatine level in the stats, my creatine level is like slightly above the middle of the healthy range. The thing is, if I end up taking too much of creatine I feel like it will go too high.
But yeah definitely Iāll talk to my doctor and research more for sure before trying it, but I appreciate yallās inputs Good to know that itās probably not that bad as long as I drink water
When I did it, i just did it 5 times a week one scoop, stayed on training days, and took it after i trained.
Dont go crazy, keep it simple.
275 x 3.
It went up well, muscle memory is no joke.
Ill be back to 3 plates soon enough.
Never take it for granted, enjoy the ride, believe in others.
Heading to my friendās house, gonna try his bench press setup with the barbell and such while Iām there
I canāt do too many exercises to failure today as my elbows and knee are getting inflamed from the gym, but Iāll try just doing light weights and/or exercises that donāt hurt the joints further
There is an idea, that not every workout needs to be till failure, nor every set.
I do them towards the end most days, but not all.
Keeps common ground for my muscles to repair a little more quickly.
Especially if youāre dropping weight.

Brief walk with my son in his wheelchair today. Thats all i really did for exercise lol Did get some steps in but not like I usually do. Counting down the days until I can get the weights/cardio machines
