Good morning all,
I am grateful that I am sober and was able to call my parents last night after 7 pm and chat for an hour or so. That’s definitely one of the best gifts sobriety has given me.
I’m grateful that even though today’s work day is going to suck, I am able to reason through the feelings of it, and I know at the end of the day I will feel relief, not the desire to drown the day with alcohol.
I’m grateful for sunshine.
Grateful for TS, and you Gratidudes!
Everyone have a wonderful day❤️

@Dazercat, I’ve seen you mention Breethe several times so I figured I’d give it a shot. Downloaded the app, and looking forward to some stress relief after this work day is done!

Good for you. I hope it helps. Sometimes the guided meditations put me to sleep. My old relaxation therapist said not to worry about it. “You must have needed it”. I’ve actually sat in parking lots listening to 5 or 6 minute ones before getting out of the car to get to whatever it was I was doing. If your mind wonders… that’s ok too. It takes practice. Bring it back with your breathing.
I hope your work day ends up not sucking.

I’m grateful for the weekend I just had.

I’m grateful March is coming in like a lion (it’s winter out there) - which has to mean it’s gonna go out like a lamb, right?

I’m grateful to @Sunflower1 for her words. Parts of this whole work week are going to suck (not being negative, just the truth!), and her words are just what I need to start my week: “I am able to reason through the feelings of it, and I know at the end of the day I will feel relief.” Thank you, Sunflower. :relieved:

I’m grateful to @Kaeo for hanging around this TS place and this thread too so consistently, and then casually checking in yesterday with 789 days. I draw a lot of strength from your presence - and the other “heavyweights” too - and I just want you to know that.

I’m grateful that @Peace is here, and that I know there is someone who knows right now the sadness that comes from her Mom’s decline. I wouldn’t wish this journey on anyone, but if we’re on it - having companions makes it doable.

I’m grateful for all of the Gratidudes, each and every one of you! And for TS. And my sobriety. Not quite sure where I’d be without it…

M and D? Everyday.

I’m grateful for another day. :orange_heart:

I’m grateful for these birds calling to each other in the trees outside.
I’m grateful for this cup of vanilla black tea.
I’m grateful for the Calm app, which my health insurance pays for.
I’m grateful for the gift of perspective—my job and life are overwhelming right now but I have absolutely no urge to drink. Because I have been on here every day for the past 238 days reading the life lessons everyone posts on here, I know that picking up a drink will make everything much worse. I am grateful that I can learn that lesson over and over from all of you rather than the hard way. :two_hearts:

@M-be-free49 I am grateful you are here too… it does help knowing that someone else understands the pain eventhough I wish neither of us had to experience it. Just like with our drinking we have to take it one day at a time and accept that we are powerless over the disease process :purple_heart:
