A lovely sleep last night

Snuggles with Rocky

An afternoon at the cinema, watched the new Avatar movie, with my boys and my eldest sons girlfriend. Grateful for spending time with them altogether, doesn’t happen often especially as one is nearly 18 :blue_heart:

That I didn’t come home to a puddle from Rocky :ok_hand:

This community and the beautiful people in it :hugs:

Meditation and inner peace :folded_hands:

Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend :sparkles:

Hello fellow grateful ones!
Today I am grateful for:
:folded_hands: 3.91 years of complete abstinence from all mind-altering substances. I am excited to reach my 4 years in Feb. It will be THE longest time I have ever had clean & sober in over 2 decades.
:folded_hands: The beautiful +9°C weather we are currently having. In mid-January, this is wonderful!
:folded_hands: Being able to wear 1 pair of shoes to work. Bcuz the sidewalks are clean and not slushy with snow, i dont have to wear my winter boots and then change into shoes at work. Makes my work bag much lighter.
:folded_hands:The sound of snow melting and hitting the ground
:folded_hands: The healthy lunch that I brought for work
:folded_hands: Wanting to be creative and discover new healthy recipes. Im not much of a cook but Im trying to branch out.
:folded_hands:Our Ninja appliances (Airfryer, Creami, Blender, and Food Processor). They help me to be able to experiment with diff foods and try new things! I actually am enjoying trying new foods and ways of cooking them!

Grateful for an awesome Saturday! Got up very early and went to the beach, skatepark and got some groceries. Bought a sonic the hedge hog lego car. Got some chores done and detailed my car. Now I’m just going to listen to music and maybe find a show to watch.. Very grateful for my life right now and its days like this that make working 55 hours a week worth it. Grateful to be contributing to society and working on my goals.

I feel like in my addiction I got away from so many things that brought me joy and now it’s like I’m 16 again and so much fun hobbies to do and things to work on..

Going to keep living and definitely make up for lost time

It’s based on Thich Nhat Hanh, meditations, resources and talks/teaching, podcasts on there too. I haven’t used it to the full benefits yet but the meditations are great, very zen :ok_hand:

Sunday evening gratitude.
The wind is howling outside and I’m grateful for a safe and warm house to be safe and secure for me and my pets.
I’m grateful I stocked up on firewood, today it’s the last shitty cold night when I must feed the furnace twice.
I’m grateful I did some needed chores today, it feels better allthough I’m not done with everything.
I’m grateful for Missi purring away on me, for Sherlock to be a cutie, for Watson to let me shear her back and remove all the hopelessly felted fur. We start grooming this cat from scratch. We: Me, myself and I plus Watson. I’m grateful for @soberbilly introducing me to FUBAR. I’m grateful I see when something is fucked up beyond repair and act accordingly.

I’m grateful I cooked today, it was yummi.
I’m grateful I can take another shower.
I’m grateful for a relaxing footbath.
I’m grateful for a good talk with my widowed friend M and that my bestie is back home from her parents-visit.
I’m grateful I got to journal today.
I’m grateful making little steps back to normal routine gives me a better emotional balance. I’m still a bit off the track. I’m grateful back to basics is always an option :folded_hands:

I’m grateful that I know how valuable making a gratitude list is for my recovery.

Im grateful for god and his teachings. Reflecting on Quran verses has really help me find a more loving heart.

I’m grateful that god is helping me be forgiving. I’ve held on to too many negative feelings and I need to release.

I’m grateful that I get daily encouragement from friends that are helping their own sobriety by showing me how important daily reflection is.

I’m grateful that I’m beginning to understand that I have a learning curve and daily effort is needed for me to bridge a gap to be comfortable with my new way of life.

Thank you Jazzy. Just feeling very low and my self-esteem has taken a bit of a battering. I will ride it out. Started seeing a therapist a couple of weeks ago, so I’m looking forward to offloading this week.

:butterfly: The nice weather today.
:butterfly: My job even though it can be mentally hard work.
:butterfly: A new week approaching. I cant wait to get back to the gym!
:butterfly: Working on being consistent when it comes to my health. I may make a mistake but it doesnt need to carry on for days on end.
