Thinking of you sweetie, losing a baby is tough and so sorry to hear about your mum. Your mum would be do proud of you in your sobriety and in the wonderful mother you have become. Big hugs xx

Nope I had so much planned for my week off but I’m feeling a bit low. All I’m doing is sleeping and reading :smirk:

@Frantasticooo @keiti Me too! (except being a dad, of course). During my drinking days, my patience was nil. I would fight with my wife and daughters throughout the day. Luckily I was a happy drunk, so once I started drinking, I would mellow out. All the fights were due to me being hungover. So glad that’s in the past. You are both doing awesome.

@Conor689908 she’s right. US born and raised, but spend a lot of time in Ireland. Been over 15 or so times at this point, I’ve lost count. Most recently this past summer.

My Dad moved to the US when he was 25 or so, rest of the family is still there. He is back in Ireland about 6 months out of the year.

I love this. I really need to learn good coping skills for anxiety

Craptastic, I get to go through all the symptoms of hangover again. Headache (plus ear ache), trembling, sweating, nausea, dizziness. Facial cramps as a bonus. Today a cute looking male nurse obviously saw my condition and asked if I wanted my medicine doses should be raised. Dang I didn’t remember to check if he wore a ring.

Oh that sucks you’re feeling so crappy. Sending healing vibes your way. Will nurse be coming back or are you done for day?

Good morning from Texas y’all! Back at work. Day 33 has come and gone. Working on day 34 here. Still wish I could sort out the sleeping issues. I’m in the same boat as you @ChicagoT but I’m not as far along in the sobriety as you of course. My daughter is not at school today. :frowning: and that really stresses me out. She’s missed so much this year already because of her depression and anxiety. I so wish I could take it away for her. The psychiatrist gave her a different medication yesterday to take so I’m hopeful this will help her out.
@adeygaga49 give yourself some time to rest but maybe squeeze a short walk in there so you don’t get too down? I hope you can enjoy the time you have to read and sleep. Apparently you need it. That’s what my grandma always said.
So sorry you’re experiencing all of those things @Fireweed I appreciate you being so positive and encouraging even when you’re having a rough time. You’re inspiring!
I don’t have much work to do today so I’m going to be hanging out on TS a bit! Have a great day everyone.

It’s a quick procedure, only 10 mins per day. Small frequent, stereotactic radiation so the surrounding brain tissue stays as safe as possible. There are three nurses and they change almost daily. They are so kind, caring and professional. And honestly, i’m not gonna make anyone awkward by asking him for a date through my Hannibal mask
