Day 1 Hello Tuesday today is a new day

Good morning …well the day is here. Day 1…..Deep down I know my drinking is an addiction however I feel myself it’s more a habit. Something I’m just so used too and need to break the habit. Every night I say no more I’m out…then by 3 the next day I find myself always saying ok final day…I’m litteraly a broken record because every final day turns into final week and will start Monday. I keep telling myself stop weekdays and just allow 1 day in weekend. But I never seem to get there. So this so called habit sucks and I need to focus… I can do this! And again…..goodmorning and thanks for listening….

Welcome!

I relate to procrastinating quitting. Time flies and its easy to let another year fly by.

Now that i quit. Time keeps flying. My quality of life is much better.

It is a vicious cycle. Ready to get off the merry go round. Don’t worry about tomorrow or the next day or the weekend. You can deal with all the tomorrow’s when they become today.

It is hard to wrap the brain around never ever again. So just commit yourself today. You can do one day, right? Then wake up tomorrow not freshly hangover and re commit.

Not always easy but always worth it!!! You are worth it @Bebright

I hope you are waking up free of a hangover this morning. In early days, for about 5 years, actually, I had a habit of attending noon AA meetings, as I found that a much easier way to get from one end of the day to the other without a drink. It also gave me social support (fellowship), ideas on how to stay sober, and a community spirit.

Not at all. It can be very hard to achieve. I know that all too well and many others. Keep going, you got this!

Get that head on the pillow sober tonight and wake up to day 2
