I’m an alcoholic

Wow, read the title Megan! Sorry.

Yes, what they said. Anxiety and sweating were two massive parts of my withdrawal. Had to change my socks every few hours. Stinky detoxing foot sweating!

Hang in there! 3 days is hard. Take some b vitamins and drink some gatorade to replace electelytes. Also magnesium helps. In a day or so the physical should be mostly over. Anxiety might hang on for a bit, so be gentle to yourself, take it as easy as you can, limit caffeine.

Oh yes, the brutal side of detoxing and getting the poison out of your body. The length of detox depends on how long and how much you drank. Stay water hydrated, try to get sleep so your body and brain can heal, take showers to keep clean and open your pores, and eat small meals to keep your blood sugar balanced. Once the fog lifts, you’ll feel amazing.

I couldn’t believe when I read this. I too am on day 3. Last night I sweat so badly that I could barely get out of my pj’s, they were stuck to me. My sheets soaked. So gross. I was attributing it to menopause, because I have been suffering from night sweats . But this one way above what I’m used to experiencing. I didn’t even think about detoxing. I hope there are better nights to come . Hang in there.

I had the exact same thing, going on Day 5 now, after going back to drinking, thinking I could control it, and ending up a mess again. Anxiety and sweating have mostly gone(I think). Still have quite a bit of Mind Fog. I’ve found a bit of light exercise helps clear the mind. Keep it up.

Haha it’s so common I’d be more worried if your body wasn’t detoxing. Sweating will stop soon and once your body chemistry resets, your anxiety will dissipate.

Have fun with knowing your mind and body are healing :grinning:.

I went through the sweats too big time. I would wake up as if I was just caught in a rainstorm. My hair behind my neck, my back, just above my chest, even behind my KNEES completely drenched. It gets better I promise! I haven’t had any issues for a few days now. Can finally turn up the heat at night without worrying lol
