Well done on day 3  serious achievement.

Having experienced Xanax addiction and withdrawal the first things I’d ask are

Have you sought medical advice on stopping/tapering? Stopping suddenly can be really challenging so make sure you have a medical opinion.
Read up on the symptoms and timeline so you know what to expect and when.
Look after yourself and create safe and comfortable surroundings for the worst of it.

Best of luck. You’ll come out the other side and the sun will be shining :sun:

Thank you for the encouragement, it means more than you know. I’m still pushing and determined…. But im doing this cold turkey at home after lots of research and a couple failed attempts over the years. I just wanted to do it the quickest way and that is home. Doctors want to give other meds to help and those other meds have dependency issues I want no part of. I just want to be free of any timer or second thought of what I need medication wise when I’m going anywhere. This withdrawal journey is a beast but im happy to report by God’s grace I was able to fall asleep for a few hours. So, im counting the smalls “wins” and trying to push thru everything else.

Well done for your progress so far. It’s an absolute battle and you are going to win it. I didn’t taper as long as I should have done because - like you - I just wanted to be free of it. But that meant the withdrawals were quite the “journey” sweating and shaking in front of the TV with all the curtains closed so I couldn’t see the imaginary people outside was an experience for sure.

Just think, there will be a time you can look back at this moment and you’ll be free of it :raising_hands::light_blue_heart:
