Here i am again, another day 1. Trying a new app, so i’m new here. Decided to make some changes, got rid of social media and downloaded this new app. I have been on this journey for 10 months, but this uear has really got a hold of me again and i haven’t made it past 3 weeks all year. Every failure is another reason to never give up. I know how good it is to feel bright and sober, hence the name! I’ve done 75 days as my max (other then when pregnant with my babies). Doing it for myself, for them, for my husband. Most of all though because i know its leading to a very dark path if i let it win! Yesterday was a incredible low and today has been pretty miserable. But here i am, another day 1 and hopeful this will finally be my forever!
Welcome to the TS family
Have a good look around and read through the topics pinned to the top for newcomers. Lots of wisdom there to find.

I just wanted to suggest that you check out AA meetings in your area. Staying clean and sober is much easier with support from other people in recovery. Keep yourself busy on here too, this place is a lot of fun and it feel’s good to know that you aren’t alone in this because you’re not if you don’t let yourself be.
Go to meetings, basically, and focus on recovery. I’m coming up on 7 years clean and that is what has worked for me.
You can do this, and it is worth it, I promise.
God bless
Warm welcome to this community. Looking forward to seeing you around.
Welcome Bright & Sober.
I’m glad you found us. This is a great sober community with so much love and support. It sounds like you have so much to be grateful for when you’re sober. And I bet, like me, I got nothing to be grateful for when I’m drinking.
When I first found this app, I started every single day on the gratitude thread.
I still do most days. It my most powerful tool for my sobriety. Doing gratitude everyday retrained my brain. Reading others and writing my own and just living it. The lights are always on. I’ll save you a seat.
You can live up to your name.
Hope to see you around.
Welcome to the forum!!! I love ur user name Glad ur here with us and i hope this app is as helpful for u, as it has been for me. Check in often, read a bunch, and stay connected.
This is my main form of support for recovery, but AA and NA meetings have helped tremendously too. I do online meetings right now as i cant really go to in person due to family obligations. But online are pretty good too. Again, glad to have u here
How are you doing today?
@Bright_and_Sober keep us posted please
Welcome! Come join us… stick around.
Thankyou for all your comments. I am still learning the app and didn’t find the comments till now. 3 days done, onto day 4 today. First day was miserable, 2nd and 3rd day easier but at times am being impatient or annoyed easily. Sleep is certainly better and less waking up.
I’m enjoying the journaling prompts in here and its one of the things i want to do more of this time. I also wonder about hypnosio, i did it the first time for about a month then stopped. Maybe it was quite helpful. Anyone else used it to retrain the mind?
I’m glad to hear you’re doing okay.
If you need to talk to someone I am here just send me a pm
