Day one I’m scared and nervous but I know that I and my children need a healthy role model and I want to be it I can and will do this

Hello and welcome Nikki. I know sobriety can be very scary in the early stages but it is an amazing way to live. There are tons of resources here and great people to talk with. I look forward to seeing your journey, i wish you well.

Yes! One of the many reasons I quit was for my 9 year old son. I’ve drank around him his entire life. I never really hit rock bottom this time, but shoot, enough is enough.

I had a relapse after 5 years sober so I know how you feel. It’s hard 
But the good thing is: you allready know how to do it! So do it again

Kids are a great motivator. I would not be sober if it wasn’t for my eldest daughter. There are a few times that I have sailed close to a relapse, and not letting her down has played a big part in it not happening.
