Decaffeinated Coffee

Started drinking decaf because I noticed I was always jittery when drinking caffeinated. I think the clarity of thought definitely helps me be more in tune with my body and I seem to make good choices. Wowza

Headaches? Honestly, not getting my daily caffeine gives me the worst headaches. Like PAIN headaches. For this reason I really want to give up caffeine…but I’m also really afraid too.

I had to go to decaf years ago as well. I am hyper enough without added caffeine. Good for you!!

I still have my morning cup of coffee with caffeine. The symptoms of too much caffeine are anxiety, jitters, palpitations, sweating, raises blood pressure.

It’s definitely taken the edge off for me. I have had no headaches.

I gave up caffeine too, in a way, caffeine overload was a trigger for alcohol. I used to drink coffee all day, get jittery, then drink alcohol as it seemed nullify the effects of caffeine. Plus I hate the idea of being addicted to something. So now a cup of coffee is a treat that I will get when I am traveling.

It took 2 weeks of tapering before I was fully off caffeine. 3rd best decision I’ve ever made; after alcohol and nicotine.

I love it, I do tea instead these days! I felt much the same with coffee. Decaf is a good idea! It’s amazing how much more energized I feel without it now that I’ve been off it a bit.

So, you really believe that decaf coffee will improve the way you feel? So far i never realized that coffee has any negative implications and i do drink a lot in the morning. I always used to say that i only need three different things to drink: 1. Coffee in the morning 2. Water all day long and 3. Beer in the evening. After having skipped number 3, you mean i should also skip number 1 to feel better?

Matter of personal choice. My thoughts on decaf are “what’s the point?” Then again, I can drink coffee all day and not get jittery. Heck, I can drink a cup and then go to bed, no issue. But that’s me.

I also thought what’s the point in decaf. But I can still enjoy the flavour of a coffee with sugar.

It’s working for me. Remember we are all different. You could always try giving up caffeine and see how you feel. I still have a propper coffee in the morning
