Hey there all!
I am curious to learn some new languages.
Could yall share a phrase in your own language so I can learn?
All languages welcome
My phone is English and Spanish for now, but looking to incorporate more over time

You should check out Duolingo. They have all kinds of languages on there to learn. I had started german a while back but fell off my schedule. I need to get back to it
Yo hablo español
Je connais un peu de français
Я знал русский язык, когда был ребенком, но почти все забыл
e capisco un po’ di italiano
I have the Duolingo app, but never seen to remember to do the daily lessons
Also I’m out of hearts, but Here’s some for you
I understand this is not what you asked for, you want more personal phrases from people who live in these countries.
You will get lots of nice replies I know.
This is some thing that came up in a conversation with somebody last week and I thought it was cute and also helpful.
I pass it to you. The French people I know use “ Mais” a lot so I thought it was interesting what she said.
Hopefully you can access it.
Ohh thank you! I will look at this
Oh i thought there was a link with the picture. Now it’s not there. Or maybe my phone is acting weird. … i will see in the morning
It’s not letting me add it. Here is a screenshot of it. Go here and then look for the picture in the above post, where it says definitely in French. She has a lot of common phrases, mostly one word, and how to pronounce them.
Oh thank you
This one i will be practicing. As i tend to forget easily when I don’t use the words/phrases
Great! The one or two that I looked at I thought that she was doing a great job of giving out useful information instead of getting bogged down …
If you didn’t see it the one that’s got “definitely” on it, it is about five rows down. It’s a lot of one word phrases you can use.
I look forward to doing this one that you posted. Thank you. Merci beaucoup.
Edit. I see it’s right next to the one you posted!
Ik ben veel te vroeg wakker! Het is kwart voor zes op mijn vrije dag en ik zit aan de koffie. Misschien later nog even slapen. Hoi @Scorpn!
PS. Er is een regel hier op Nuchter Praten die zegt dat de taal van een draadje dezelfde moet blijven als de eerste post. Voor deze keer maak ik een uitzondering…
Hola, yo hablo un poco de español, todavía estoy aprendiendo, pero, me ENCANTA este idioma y quiero saber más y poder hablar con fluidez… un día mi lengua materna es English, but with Australian slang, lol; my family are from NZ, my Dad is part-Maori and I know a few words & phrases in
te reo Māori
pero, solo un poco.
Languages and culture are fun, and interesting!
やはい!
yabai!
Variously means terrible, difficult, amazing, dangerous, sexy
勘弁してくれ
kanben shite kure
give me a break
Google translate to Dutch from English. As I don’t know this language myself. But i am happy to learn.
Passe une bonne journée
My French is a bit formal still. I learned in school only. I’m curious, is
“Bonne journée” acceptable? Or is it incomplete this way?
She’s a ‘ yabai, yabai, yabai, yabai and yabai woman.
Translate. She’s a terrible, difficult, amazing, dangerous and sexy woman
Are the different meanings based on tone and inflection?
I like the sentence @Alisa made it can mean a lot for sure
