It is your opinion and not a fact that it is stupid. It might be the opinion of most or all of the people in this thread that it is also stupid, but it still only an opinion–just as her views are her opinion. I honestly don’t care, though I do love the debate.
Now, I don’t know about her, but I generally don’t care about proving a point when I’m just giving an opinion. I kind of find it interesting that so many people on the internet come back with, “prove that to me”. Generally I reply with, “No, I don’t care! Go find it out yourself if you’re interested or don’t.” But then this isn’t about me. And like I said, I really don’t care, though I’m more than happy to continue to debate you over this random person’s post.
When an opinion is presented as a fact I expect evidence to prove it. I guess it’s just the attorney in me to not let people present stupid conspiracy theories without backing it up. When it’s presented in the manner she presented it, it ceases to be an opinion, it’s presented as fact.
Okay I will agree with you on that point. Honestly, it is kind of a pet peeve of mine when people present opinions as fact instead of qualifying them as their opinions. I think I corrected her on this when I ‘translated’ her post.
In Australia the last 9 months have been a shit show. Our premiere is dis liked by everyone. He is Nick named dictator Dan. Because of what he has done to our state during covid… Our government is a complete joke. They behave like children in our question time sessions in parliament… Our state had apparently been sold to China because of the debt we are in… It’s a complete shit show…
Nevada is jacked right now. I have many friends who’s votes haven’t been counted yet. Then there have been problems with early ballots not being counted. It could be awhile. Looks like Biden will pull it out though. Clark and Washoe County are holding the state up. The whole state, except for those two counties, are republican. Washoe County (Reno and Sparks) and Clark County (Vegas, Henderson) hold the majority of the population and swing to the left.
Man the world is going to hell in a hand basket. And here I was hoping for the meteor before the U.S. election. What kind of government does Australia have? I don’t suppose there’s any chance of the people rising up and a bunch of new people running for office?
At the beginning of the first lock down, our state’s premise was seen in the middleof the night at our major airport , with dozens of planes that were unloading cargo, shaking hands with Chinese officials. All the roads were blocked off to the airport and all the web photoage that streams on our roads and traffic authority live website, was unavailable between those hours… It’s been a full on lie here in Victoria. Many in parliament have asked for our premieres resignation. We have had huge protests all over the state. People are standing up but it’s not enough and too many people here just don’t care enough to get involved because we aren’t as patriotic as the u.s… So many people here don’t even know the name of our priminester let alone our premiere…
I really hope that everything stays peaceful over there. The pictures we get here scare me a little. I really don’t want to think about winning him with I don’t know how many votes. Only damage for democracy and that worldwide. Shame on ***. Why isn’t he stopped by his comrades?
Considering leadership, ANY leadership, I’d rather have someone with integrity, upright CHARACTER and strong moral compass than just a person who supports certain views. Many leaders got to their positions thru manipulation, lies and being driven by lust for power.
A true leader is a servant of those whom he / she leads. Integrity and character can be seen in his/her speech and conduct in both public AND private.

Now that trump is basically defeated the real work begins. Gotta start to rebuild the bridges and plan for the future. It’s going to take a long time to repair the damage trump has done.
But then this isn’t about me. And like I said, I really don’t care, though I’m more than happy to continue to debate you over this random person’s post.
