I’m not…but I am a retired Chicago club kid/raver.
I can maybe understand why you asked.
What a difficult love to have and try to separateyourself from a lifestyle to remain sober.
I had to stop to stay away from the people and places I frequented to drink. Leaving my truth, my true love- dancing- has destroyed me. I am no longertruly me…happy, whole, motivated.
I struggle daily to move forward without that joy.
Nothing like it.
Sure dancing in my house is good…but noting like the pure joy of free flowing my body to the pounding bears in a dark club or at a party.
