Do you drink non alcoholic beers if quit cold turkey?
I drink them as a treat on hot days or lounging with my bf or friends. I enjoy the taste and beer was never my go to. If they would trigger me i’d stop them no bother.
I’ve tried non alcoholic beers, just to discover that I actually don’t like beers. I just liked the buzz. But I do like the nosecco (no alcohol champagne)
Hi welcome! I do have some NA Heineken’s in the chiller but I usually only have them on a hot day when I fancy one. Can take them or leave them really but I do have them in my ‘tool kit’ lol. Now @MrsOdh, tell me more about this fizzy secco you mentioned…sounds delish?! Can I get it in England or online. I do like a nice bit of fizz at a barbie

I am sober almost 1 year and I had non-alc. beer only in three occassions
I just totally forgot they exists
In these 3 occassions I was partying. Otherwise they don’t come up on my mind at all. Interesting actually

No ! It reminds me to original beer and contains sugar.
Soda water and lime a lot better
I drink non alco beer every day, it’s the only thing keeping me sane but I haven’t started until few months after I quit. It depends on a person, for me it’s a mental treat and I just love beer.
No. Taste crap and some still have alcohol in them and it’s just continuing the whole ritual.
But that’s just my opinion.
Personally I’ve never had non alcoholic beers. Like some others have said a lot of them still have a small percentage of alcohol.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it at all, but a lot of my problem when I was drinking was the ritual. So for me I don’t think it would be smart.
The one I can get in Sweden is totally alcohol free for what I know. It tastes like the real thing, but I don’t have it too often.
Lol, thank you love the example lol
I got bored quickly with na beers. When I went to Italy, we went to a gin bar. They had nonalcoholic gins paired with the finest of tonics. I found them to be amazing. I came back to the states and discovered seedlip-a nonalcoholic gin. https://seedlipdrinks.com/us/shop?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjvnO95-R6wIVZAiICR0XhggzEAAYBCAAEgLI2PD_BwE
Thank you!!
Thank you!! Much needed info
Thank you
Awww thanks for that lovely lady! I’m definitely going to be getting some of that in for the weekend!

I think this will depend on your previous drinking habits and what made you want to stop in the first place. For me personally I’ve come to love all of the varieties of craft beers that have came to the market over the last several years. Now several would argue that I only loved the alcohol in them so with this attempt at sobriety I decided to give N/A beers a shot, just to see how they would compare to the real thing, and how my mind would handle the experience.
I’m a cyclist, and for whatever reason the cycling and craft beer culture sort of go hand in hand. I have always loved the post ride ritual of having a couple of pints on the patio after a 75-100 miler. The problem is though, those 2 pints always became 6 or more due to properties of alcohol. Well I discovered a couple of breweries that only do N/A, Athletic Brewing & Well Being Brewing, and let me tell you, their beers taste like the real thing and are absolutely delicious. I will have a couple in the evening and i’m satisfied and have no desire drink another 6.
And it is true that a lot of the N/A beers will have up 0.5% abv, but alcohol can be found in breads and fruits as well, so unless you’re trying to be 100% alcohol free, don’t sweat it.
I like to have na beer sometimes, but not often. And only bc it doesn’t trigger me.
Weeks ago I tried a na wine, that was hella creepy bc it tastes exactly like wine with alcohol. Threw it in the sink.
