Do you use therapy apps?

Hello all,

I made my first post a few hours ago. The amount of support I’ve gotten on here, and from friends and family encouraging me to use this app, has led me here.

Do you use any therapy apps? I just started using this one today called “Clarity”. It focuses mainly on CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). It provides a lot of resources and has put a few of my thoughts into better perspective in just a few hours of answering questions. I also find apps like this helpful because you can take your time and answer when you like.

Are there any other apps that are helpful like this one?

I never heard of that one, but I’m gonna take a look at it. The only app I use is Insight timer, mostly for meditation. It’s great to help you sleep at night or just relax.

I’ll take a look at that one as well! Another app I have been using for a while is structured, it’s a daily task planner. With my depression I find it hard to remember to do things like take care of myself and it will notify me to do things like brush my teeth before bed or eat breakfast every day.

I love the Clarity app! Another app that I’ve been enjoying is “Recovery Path” that helps you set up things Like relapse prevention plans and walks you through any cravings, feelings, and bumps in recovery. I find it very helpful!

I use Clarity and love it! The daily check ins give me a way to organize my thoughts and assess where I’m at (which is not always apparent to me). I really love that I can do stuff like analyze a thought for cognitive distortions etc. I’m not usually a “full version”, but I went ahead and paid for the big version so that I would have access to more there. I’m a big fan!

A second vote for insight timer. It’s not a therapy app but would probably live in the same folder as a therapy app

And its free!

I’m not great at pasting images here, but it’s a white notebook with a yellow pencil on a light blue background!

My spiritual tool kit is a very good app

I’ve not used a therapy one, but two apps for guided meditation: Calm and Insight Timer both have some good stuff.

Calm has regular daily stuff I found helpful, but more of it better if you get a subscription. Very well organized and easy to use.

Insight Timer has mountains of meditations to go through by different people. A whole lot of it can be perused for free. Found a lot of good stuff in there, though there’s so much it’s a little harder to weed through. I think the only reason I found to sub to this one was the ability to download the meditations.

There’s a handful of Sarah Blondin meditations on Insight Timer I think are fantastic.
