I am on naltrexone now and have been for a few months. Does anybody here have experience with getting on and off naltrexone? When I started it, I felt like it reduced some anxiety… Either in a placebo type way, or in a chemical craving type way, I’m not sure. I’m 7 months clean now and trying to save money any way I can. It would be nice to stop having to buy this. I don’t need the opiate blocker part at all, either.

I’d suggest searching the forum (magnifying glass, upper right), naltrexone comes up a lot. Don’t have experience with it myself.
Some swear it saved their lives. Others have horror stories of withdrawals, getting hooked, or abusing it.
So I guess it’s the usual wisdom. Talk to your doctor. Proceed carefully and stay honest with them. Maybe have a plan with the doctor for eventually getting off of it?
