Hi all,
Back in October I voluntarily told the DVLA I was using cocaine. I have been completely abstinent since then and informed my work too.
I have not been part of any driving offence.
The DVLA contacted my GP twice because there was an error on the first DG1V form. The second one was sent in March and has been processed. On the form they asked if I was a persistent or dependent user and my GP ticked no.
After constantly chasing for updates, they’ve now sent me a letter which I haven’t seen yet – it’s still in the post.
When I rang them, they just said the letter requires a urine test. I don’t know anything else that’s in it.
Sorry for being impatient and i realise i should just wait for the letter but im so tired and stressed from all this.
Anyway by chance on learning this today I’ve informed them I already had three negative drugs tests: one from my GP, plus both a urine and hair test from work, all negative. I’ve now whilst waiting for this letter emailed the DVLA those result for their consideration.
I’m still driving under section 88 and I’m sick of worrying.
Does this sound like a positive sign?
If I pass their urine test, does that normally mean the process is over and I won’t have to surrender my licence?
Part of me is saying why would they want me to do a drug test if they were going to make me surrender my license.
I am not worried about drug tests due to being 211 days clean
Thanks in advance
