Elf on the shelf 2018

The cake has to be a bought one so the allergy advice is clearly labeled and it gets taken home

Well… he’s back (Tricky Sparkle)… and this is the best I could do :grimacing: lol

What is this “elf on the shelf” thing about? Is it a tradition?
It would freak me out if there is an elf sitting in my room staring at me like in your pictures hahaha

It scared my youngest initially and he wasn’t crazy about a little guy constantly watching and judging his every move. Our Elf just hangs out with us and does silly stuff each morning ️ Only if they are REALLY bad I’ll remind them that our Elf can tell Santa that they have been “naughty”. Kids love him (ours is a boy) and it helps to get them out of bed quicker for the month, which is always nice

Agreed. I have no idea what this thing is or why it exists. And it creeps me out.:anguished::dizzy_face:

It’s a growing tradition here in the U.S. Kids think he is hillarious  He definitely stays out of the kids room

Just reread this lol :joy: :joy: It’s all good people. He’s just a silly little elf with good intentions… or at least ours does haha.

Lol, so funny it’s catching on fast in the UK too, my friend has been doing it for a number of years now

That’s awesome <3 such great memories for the kids! My kids loooove elf on the shelf. They’re at their dads right now but when they come back I’ll have him set up with a treat and balloons saying “I’m back!” (He always comes on the first of December) Then I’ll try to make the effort to move him every night…lol but sometimes I forget and I’m all, “he was too tired!” Sometimes I’ll do something fun with him…but usually I’ll just move him to some new spot. They love trying to find him in the morning. It makes me happy to see them so happy <3

It was priceless seeing my boys reaction to the first year of having the elf

Won’t be long until it arrives in Germany  what do you think @anon2074485

My son touched the elf and now Elfie has to sleep outside his house because he can’t get back through his magical door
Need to Wait for Santa to send some magic dust

It WILL arrive here for sure haha like everything from over the pond :wink:

The Elf is straight out of the Catholic playbook. This pic used to keep millions under careful scrutiny all year round in Ireland

Yeah like where did that come from? One day it’s a piece of cake you send home with your kids friend next day it’s a bag of stationary. This elve on the shelf thing I’ve never heard of before either. Still my youngest is 13 now so all that stuff is way behind. Eldest who 20 still loved her advent calendar when I gave it her. She lives at uni now. Guess they never grow up!

Haha oh dear, I don’t know what’s happening to my brain today. At first I just saw an elf lying in a circle on top of a symbol with other critters surrounding it and thought it was some sort of feigned Hollywood style blood sacrifice until I realized it was just an elf making a snow angel :joy::rofl:
