the closer i get to tuesday and going to this new therapy i get more and more scared because i know how much it will hurt. i have almost relasped so many times but im trying to stay strong but its so hard when there are so many temptations in everyday objects. lighters, knives, needles, and even my own hands. trying to keep my mind off of it is so hard.

It makes sense to be nervous for any kind of therapy, especially when it’s a trauma focused therapy. Good for you for doing the hard thing to invest in yourself! Your therapist should help you develop techniques to ground yourself before going too deep, and should be there with you to process and keep you emotionally safe/supported.
