Error occurred title? This is about my dream

I had my first alcohol related dream last night (or today rather as my daughter kept me up most of the night so I had to nap today) where I got the urge and caved in almost immediately. My dreams are very lucid so it was unpleasant to feel myself give in. I know the stronger urges will come soon and I’m scared I won’t be strong enough :pensive:

I couldn’t tile this as I wanted because it said that title had already been used. How odd. It’s not like it’s a username

It probably means that a thread with the same title already exists, what did you want to title it?

Also, it’s probably worth using the :mag: button up top to search if you can post in an existing thread before starting a new one. Just did a quick search for ‘dream’ and found 50+ existing threads

I can relate. My dreams are also really vivid and lucid and if I’m dreaming a beautiful dream, I hate to wake up from it into the dull reality. And if I’m seeing a nightmare, my day is ruined. But I’m learning to live with the fact that they are just dreams. I have also drank in my dreams but luckily though they didn’t cause me any cravings.

Yes I probably should have. I’ve never been on a forum that limits post titles before so I was confused. Some places don’t like you to resurrect old threads too but I shall look in the future

So vivid! It’s like my mind is playing cat and mouse with itself. I’m really happy to hear your dreams haven’t caused you cravings. I hope I’m the same way :crossed_fingers:

You just need to concentrate on today and not to worry about what may or may not happen

You’re absolutely right but I’m not very good at that

I understand that too

Dreams (drinking nightmare) can be vivid but you did wake up from and it sounds like your thoughts were more on your sobriety and not feeling good about drinking in your dream. Which seems like, maybe a good thing. But I’m not a dream expert.

And if you wake up with a craving. You can get through it, You are strong enough!!! Kick that dreams butt!! It does feel better to wake up from a nightmare then freshly hangover!? You got this!!

Definitely! I hate the anxiety I get when hungover and how useless I am all day. I’d be thrilled to never have a hangover ever again

@scaredsmol you got this! Life is better sober. It isn’t always easy but definitely better!! The only thing alcohol does is tell us lies and make things worse
