Everyday Carry (EDC) items

Yes! Totally agree! Ive been a slave to the purse since I was in 4th grade, when mini backpacks were a big thing. But now, when I look for a new purse, it has to be to my liking (meaning POCKETS!) I always have everything separated. My wallet for cash and cards. A separate pocket for change. One for hygiene (toothbrush/toothpaste, bandaids, flosspicks, eye drops, lotion, hand sanitizer, feminine products, ibuprofen, hair accessories, makeup touchups), then keys, brush, pens, knife, extra bottle opener for work, gum, cigs, lighters, tide pen, and always my 24hour aa chip(my reminder of what I’m doing in my life right now). Probably more but I’m not about to dump the whole thing out, lol :grimacing:

I would’ve used it on the train just a week ago on someone if I had it. Someone else luckily had some narcan.

I’ve had one reversal. As a heroin addict it stirred up a lot of emotions, but I’m glad I had the training to act quickly.

Haha. Nope. It’s some stupid thing I have to send in because I got a “real ID” without proof of address.

Very observant of you tho😉

live in Milwaukee Wisconsin. We haven’t red-taped the constitution too bad here. The law states adults can openly carry a weapon without a license (unless the court has revoked their right to own/posses a weapon). If you want to conceal the weapon, you need a license to carry a concealed weapon (CCW license).

To obtain a CCW license you need to submit an application to the state department of justice with proof of completing professional firearm training and a $20 check. After they ensure the information you submitted is valid and accredited they will do a federal background check. If that goes well they mail you a license to carry concealed weapons in the state of wisconsin. Many other states will accept this license. Some will not. It’s good for 5 years, at which point the process gets repeated, except you send your expired license with the application this time.

I won’t live anywhere I can’t have those EDC items :man_shrugging:t3:.

The coffee is so meaningful. He had to find someone else with my initials to give the flask to :joy:

Wallet, keys (key chain has a mouth guard and a pair of gloves in case I ever need to give mouth to mouth CPR), mobile device, a couple of tissues because I have never ending allergies, and a 1oz silver coin just in case I’m in a situation where I need money with actual value.

Do you have a little pony trained to carry all that for you? That would be cute…

Knife, phone, wallet, and keys. And before i leave the house I have to say “knife, phone, wallet, keys” and touch each one through my pocket.

Some of my favorite childhood memories were of riding a donkey up a cliff in Santorini, or getting an elephant tour in Thailand… Still remember it fondly though admittedly the memories are a little tainted by what I know now as an adult

Nah, carrying around 10lbs of extra weight is my bonus exercise each day :muscle: And you’d actually be surprised how often most of those seemingly unnecessary items come in handy to my fellows every few days.

My purse is about 5" X 8" - worn across the body. Phone, keys, credit card, id, Carmex, AV pens for work, ink pen for life.

I have never liked purses. My 17-year old, though…you can do your workout with hers.

That’s just amazing, I do think Tennessee have something likely. My best friend lives there
(she’s American) and her husband refuses to go to Sweden because he won’t be able to carry his gun here. We don’t have anything that compares to your 2nd amendment in Sweden.

If you’re a hunter, a lot of us countrysiders learn how to hunt and shoot as kids. It’s a long and complicated process, you need a hunting license and a rifle license. Even after that the only way you can have your hunting rifle at home would be in pieces locked in different safes, in different locations in your house. The bullets are also required in another safe or locked area.

You can’t carry a pocket knife or anything like that either, if your job doesn’t require it or you are out hunting.

I know it’s to keep everyone safe, but the only ones carrying guns here are the criminals. I would like to have the opportunity to defend myself. I’m storing a baseball bat in my hallway just in case, a tip from the local police said I can inside my house or in my yard it’ll count as sports gear, and self defense if there’s a burglar coming. However I can’t pack it in my car, if I can’t prove that we’re playing sports they will count it as a weapon and charge me for it.

Yeah the philosophy is a little political, so not everyone in America agrees. But like you said, criminals have guns no matter what the laws are so I’d like to have one too.

Come to America!

If it was easier I would, without a doubt. As I mentioned we’ve got friends and family outside Memphis and we visit as often we can.

I know there’s been and are a lot of discussions about the gun laws recently. All I’m saying about that is that we have a lot of shootings here to. With the difference that most people expect the criminals how no idea on how to handle a gun,and can’t defend.

Thank you, I’m trying. And I don’t think I’m stronger than anyone else in here, we all got our story.
