Favorite Recovery Bible verse to live by…

Mine? I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13. Love it!!!
I can apply this one to anything I’m struggling with. With just over 2 years of continuous sobriety “this time around”, it’s a verse I can meditate on easily. Yours???

I like this thread. I am just beginning to learn more about the Bible but I like these two:

And Matthew 6: 25-33
This is sort of a summary of what was written to help me remember

Awesome, I love that one too! That also brings to mind another one that says to only worry about today…worry is sooo unnecessary

Cool idea!!! :smiley:

I Corinthians 10:13 is awesome. Basically it tells us that what we are going through is nothing new. Someone has been here before us. Also, we will be given a way out if we trust in GOD.

My fave for strength.

Do you not know?
have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the Earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths will grow tired and weary,
and young men stumbled and fall;
but those who Hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40: 28-31

A new favorite I learned this morning:
:butterfly: Isaiah 43:2 :butterfly:
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
And when you pass through the rivers,
They will not sweep over you;
When you walk through the fire,
You will not be burned;
The flames will not set you ablaze.

Hi Frank,
Great idea! I try and focus on 100% surrender to His will daily and not my own. I know what I will do, walk in my flesh every time! lol Thanks!
