Favorite Smells?

What are some of your favorite smells? So many can be relaxing and calming for the nervous system. Mine are: burning Palo Santo wood, sage, the earthy smell of Fall, the smell outside after it rains, the sea, amber resin that I wear and my favorite essential oil (Release by Young Living oils) that I am often wearing, lavender, a Woodburning fireplace, fresh homemade bread, the forest… There are so many.

I like the smell of Autumn. The air is crisp, and you can almost smell the fallen leaves. I love the smell of meat cooking on fire. I like the smell of cinnamon, and spearmint.

Yes I have issues. I have a box in just about every room that I occasionally open up and take a big huff of :sunglasses:

Does the smell trigger a fond memory? Maybe not so odd.

I don’t like the smell of oatmeal. Not that it smells bad. It’s actually quite pleasant. I ate oatmeal almost daily for several years, when I was a young married Marine Sergeant with a baby, a stay-at-home wife, a car note, and we had to pinch pennies. Oatmeal every day for breakfast.

Now, whenever I smell oatmeal, I feel poor.

I don’t know how @C-sun smells, but I do love the smell of fall :joy:

I’m sure there’s a childhood memory buried somewhere in there. My mom knows I love the smell so once in a while she’ll buy me a new box and I just sneak off to the corner to do my thing

I know what you mean about the oatmeal, I was literally just taking about getting burned out on certain things as a child that couldn’t be eaten as an adult because of it.

I almost forgot, I absolutely love the smell of gasoline, ever since I was a kid.

My mom actually yelled at me once when I was 5 or so because she found me lying on the ground with my nose an inch from the tailpipe…just smelling away.

That actually explains a lot.

I can relate. I blame that on half the reason why I can’t remember anything… the other half was because I was drunk :upside_down_face:
