I used to do ice baths but now usually just end my showers with a couple minutes on just cold water. There is significant evidence of cold therapy benefits. :snowflake::cold_face:

Last autumn/winter I used to go for a seim in the lake. A couple of lakes. Around 11/12/13 Celsius, but it’s ok.

I used to do this last year when I was dealing with anxiety and depression. I want to get back into the habit again because I did enjoy it. I think the coldest I could get my bath water was 8°c in the middle of winter, and I had a particular piece of music that was seven minutes long that I’d listen to.

Yea man, its good for getting rid of inflamation. My pool was at about 50° and I was taking 7 minute dips. Once I calm myself and catch my breath (it takes my breath away) I still myself and try to meditate or quiet my mind. Pools down for winter now :-1::worried:

Cold water dips are so good for you! I need to get back into it now that the weather is getting colder.

That “getting in” part is freaking tough! lol. Hard to get motivated for self infliction. But feels amazing after!

Is this Wim Hof method stuff you all are discussing? I’ve wondered about its possible effectiveness on my inflammation, particularly after training.
