How long does it take to get used to human contact from rehab
One reason it’s recommended to go to an AA meeting the first day out of rehab is that the meeting reproduces, to some extent, the feeling of the sobriety tribe that you experienced. It will help ease the transition to being home again.
Congratulations on finishing, and welcome home!
Thank you im trying to find one i just relocated
Well done. Keep it coming!! Proud of you
If you’re in the US or Canada, you can stay at AA.ORG to find meetings in your area. There’s also an app called meeting guide.
There is also an app called sober time. It has online meetings hourly, AA, NA, dual diagnosis, etc. I use it when I can’t make an in person meeting. There were times I was on it for 4 meetings in one day. I even have a note book to write down anything someone says that resonates with me. Check it out.
I feel it must be individualized to the person. I would think that getting out there in the world outside of those walls as much as possible would be most helpful and would expedite the progress. Go to the persons, places and things that comfort you and make you feel unconditionally loved. Friends, sponsor, family, AA/N/A meetings, besch, marina, park, lake, etc. Good luck. Stay busy and out of your head. One day at a time.
Hey im on day 5 so I get it…yep meetings help immensely
