I get that and remember it from the start of my type of football season (European here). It takes time but you will learn to like watching sports sober, and also more so than watching it under the influence. You’ll actually see what happens
I don’t like getting drunk at bars no more. But I don’t miss that either. Not at all. It’s an adjustment but once that’s made it will be better. Keep going and you’ll find out. Enjoy the game Grant.

What exactly do you miss. As human beings, often times our memories are often nostalgic…Nostalgia is often skewed to a certain point of view. If you look at, realistically, what drinking brought to the table…do you really miss it.
You know there’s definitely a learned association that has to be unlearned. And yeah, drinking can be fun. For some people the stakes are too high to do that. FOMO is real, but also ask if you can enjoy football sober.
I am from Miami and a huge dolphin fan. Yea, sober or not sober i am a fan. I went out watched games and it was super fun. There was an urge in the beggining, but after a second or two i just didnt find it worth it for so many reason. The farther i get away from my drunkness the easier it is to want to say no. Reading over my notes and journals have really helped
