First Weekend, first challenge

I used to drink almost every weekend. I had my temptations but I didn’t relapse. I’m still clean and proud of myself. It is hard nonetheless. I’m trying to make myself busy with something else so I get distracted. Also found drinking some juice or literally anything else helps the craving a bit

Well done… I am on my fourth weekend and it seems to get easier. What helps me is to drink a little of something sweet. Distraction is great too. Good luck today and keep strong. ODAAT

Good work! Distract yourself however you need to get through the tough time. Also you should see how much seltzer I drink (la Croix etc.)

Well done! Keep building those sober muscles and it will get easier.
My weekends were centered around drinking. What helped me in the early days was going to AA meetings and getting involved with sober activities. I had to put that same amount of effort into my recovery as I did my drinking. If I wasn’t at a meeting or with family, I was listening to a podcast or reading/posting here.

Well done its funny i used to hit it hard at weekends and just recover and then dreaded the monday and work now sober dont even really think about days of week (work some weekends) i wake up the same every day lol :grinning: keep it up ADAAT :muscle:
