No workout for me this weekend bcuz i work. But boy are my legs and glutes sore from Fridays leg session. I really like doing RDLs. I wish i started doing them sooner. Im still working on perfecting my form. Was going to try single leg RDLs with a dumbbell or RDLs with the back of my legs against the bench to help me perfect my form. I now want to attempt smith machine squats next time im at the gym alone lol

Eating this week hasnt been terrible but could be improved. My average calories for the week were around maintenance level so ill need to cut back abit next week and see where that takes me. I have taken my supplements every day which is good though!

All n all this week wasnt too bad considering I only really started back on my health journey last Tuesday

RDLs are amazing. I enjoy the many variations as well. Single leg used to be my go to, they are a pretty complex movement overall. I switched to a dumbbell in each hand and have been liking it. I can really feel the stretch in my hammies and glutes on the way down.

Smith machine is a great resource. You can go low, slow, and controlled with no form issues.

Great job with tthe supplements!

Well, they vary. Ocasionally i will eat whatever tf i want lol
But i am someone who likes to snack throughout the day. So for breakfast i usually drink a protien shake. Ive been drinking the fairlife core power ones lateyly, and a cheese stick or an apple and an energy drink (working on cutting those out but one thing at a time lol)
I will eat snacks through the day. My faborite lately is cucumbers and bell peppers w homemade ranch. I’ll het a ranch seasoning packet and insyead of using mayo to make it i replace it with plain non fat greek yogurt and a little extra salt and pepper. Tastes just like real ranch. I try to get more protien low calorie snacks but ones that are still filling and taste good. I try to do wraps and salads for lunch but always include a protien of some kind. And for dinners i dont always plan them bc i share that meal with my fiance, sometimes its pizza, sometimes its a nice home cooked meal. The key is limiting my calories to a healthy 1200 a day. Your body natually on its own burns a ton of calories. Then i make sure that i go to the gym a little longer on days where i eat more than the 1200 goal or when ive had a “cheat day” someone said something VERY helpful to me. I used to really struggle with eating disorders. Rember: you dont go to the gym so you can eat. You eat so you can go to the gym. Your food is your fuel. Dont deprive yourself.

That’s whats up. I love snacks too so I’m all about it.

Fairlife milk in general is something that I recently switched over to and its been good.

Mmm hmmm. I do bell peppers and hummus. I’ve replaced anything needing sour cream with plain greek yogurt as well.

Yes, food is fuel, they got that right! Another thing that I did to take that concept one step further is instead of calling them “cheat meals/days”, I call them champion meals bc I earned them for being disciplined the rest of the week. Changes the mindset a little bit bc words have power. Instead of it feeling like a guilty pleasure, a dark secret, or a food I may regret later, I changed it into a reward.

Keep at it. You look tf good and I bet your mental is right on track with your fitness and recovery. :muscle:t5::muscle:t5:

I usually don’t frequent this thread. I have a question if someone is using lifting hooks. I’ve tried lifting straps and find them extremely annoying.

Congratulations, keep going. Better together.

I don’t use them (had to look up the term). I’ve seen plenty of other people on my fitness app use them. They are suppose to be good for wrist support and I’m sure other things.
