Pulled Pork Flatus
Naaah, I just bought them.
As you know, for the next few weeks they will keep making and selling them on every corner and that heavenly smell will terrorise all ppl noses. But this year I got new method. Yesterday I ate 4 (four!) of them so I think I’m good for the rest of oliebollen season
I had to giggle at the typo… means something quite different in world of healthcare/medical terminology
Looks tasty!
Flautas!!
Spell check had me at
Flatulence
And I thought I got it corrected cuz I knew Flatulence was not it!!
And there wasn’t any
Day 3 of snowstorm/squalls. Great day for baking. These muffins are wonderful for kiddo’s lunch. Lots of goodies in there: plain Greek yogurt, protein milk, ground chia & flax, old-fashioned oats, fresh blueberries etc. A bit of maple syrup
We used to only get oliebollen and appelflappen for NYE when I was a kid and I certainly remember feeling a bit queezy on the night after about 4 of each!
Isn’t a bit early for oliebollen anyway? I would have thought that NL was in a middle of a ‘Sinterklaas snoepgoed’ blizzard, but maybe that’s me reminiscing more than anything else…
Happy birthday fellow Sagittarian…What a lovely way to celebrate
He doesn’t but you do!! Enjoy …that looks delicious
Sag gang over everything
Haven’t posted much but I’m still here! After a week long visit to be with my family I’m back and ready to get this week going. I have one week before my fella will travel to Brazil for work for two weeks so I’ll need to first fuel him up with home cooked/prepared healthy foods and then decide how I am going to take care of myself for the bulk of December. He’s back just in time for solstice, which we celebrate more than Christmas these days. I may be around more the next couple weeks just for y’all’s company!
We did carnitas in the slow cooker for my fam on Thanksgiving day, as we planned our traditional meal the following day on Friday. Splitting time with in-laws and so on. It’s also a tradition for my guy and me as he doesn’t like turkey much. I’m sure I’ve posted about it in years past.
I brought home some turkey day leftovers and made extra dressing and a chicken stock from bits I had in my freezer (so handy!) for the best gravy I’ve made in ages. I’m so glad my Mami turned me on to ghee in the last few years, it’s amazing for making the best roux. Honey cayenne roasted carrots and garlic sautéed green beans for the win.
Still working ham into meals We still have so much. I’m thinking about freezing some and then adding some to the bean salad I’ll make this week
I don’t know if you like a pot of beans with ham and corn bread on the side but I’m planning that maybe tonight or tomorrow! It’s delicious. Good use of ham.
I’m not a huge fan of cornbread but I plan on doing a bean and ham dinner. We still have like half of it left though.
Looks amazing. I bet kitchen smelled devine!
Corn bread is so damn good
