Figs are so good. Also with some pecans or walnuts thrown in a salad with them

Delicious, personally I prefer dates over figs but it still sounds really tasty.

It’s the perfect mix of salty and sweet and I love this. Never had this combination before. I’m seriously in love

Do you mind sharing the recipe? I am trying different tortilla and flatbread recipes until I find one ot two that I like to keep making.

Unfortunately it’s far away from Tortillas, I think I’ve got a tortilla recipe as well if you want one. But here’s the gypsy bread recipe, we’re never less than 5 ppl here so I always double the recipe.

1 cup wheat flour

0,5 tsp salt

2 tsp baking powder

50 grams butter or margarin

0,5 cups milk

Crumble the butter into the flour and the baking powder, add salt and milk and blend it to a dough.

Cut the dough into round buns of prefered size and roll them out to thin breads.

Fry the bread in a dry frying pan on medium heat, about 2 mins on each side. Cast iron works best but I use a teflon pan and that works just fine.

The dough also works to wrap around a stick and grill over a campfire, or for cooking in the oven.

I usually do Serbian cheese and fig marmalade or brie.

I eat them like sweets too, or breakfast with a banan. I also do cakes and sweets like energy balls with them.

Thank you so much! I do have a cast iron and will try it soon.
I live in Montenegro.

That’s awesome, my husband is Serbian. I’ve never been in any of those countries but I hope to visit one day. I wrote the recipe in American measurements, do you want it in the metric system instead?

I lived most of my life in the States. Easier for me the way you wrote it.
This a beautiful country. I hope you will come and visit.

I use both just as good. Usually spending a lot of time in US visiting family and friends. I still can’t master the Fahrenheit system so I have to Google that everytime

I go between them but US measurements are what I am used to. The electronic kitchen scales are amazingly helpful.
