Me too!! My wife bought like 5 pounds of Canadian bacon from costco, so I’ll be making everything CanadiaCostco, for a while! Lol

Cheese crust and pot pie filling.

Ready to bake with what was supposed to be a butterfly but ended up looking like a bad drawing of something else that my gutter mind can’t unsee.

Now I will wait and see how it turns out. With hindsight I think I should have done a lard crust.

@mleclaire that looks delicious!
@Dazercat well… I mean… Technically cats are edible so you made the right thread choice :rofl:

That looks amazing! Of course until you put my mind in the gutter :crazy_face:
I never done a chicken pot pie. If that is in fact chicken. And with a cheese crust you got all bases covered. Cool.

It is chicken! I’ve honestly never done a pot pie either. Pillsbury has a recipe on their site and I used that as a framework. Made my own crust and I boiled my chicken in store bought chicken stock with some onion and extra seasonings (which I’d never done before either).

The chicken turned out bland but the stock was good and after making the filling, I don’t think anyone will notice that the meat itself is bland. Of course it’s 11pm so it’s not going to get eaten tonight, which is okay. The crusts is one of my favorite to make. It’s amazing around meatloaf.

At least I’m no longer in the gutter by myself!

I blame my new elote obsession on @RosaCanDo… 2nd time this week having elotes. I didnt try them till I was 30 years old so I have lost time to make up!

Right?!? There’s nothing better! And so many variations, too. I’m glad you’re enjoying them. Your plate looks delicious.

I’ve never had!! :open_mouth: I must try!! :yum:

I realize this looks not so appetizing :rofl: but was tasty! I sliced up some leftover beef tenderloin roast and threw it in with some button mushrooms I sautéed with butter, garlic & sea salt in a hot cast iron pan.
I ended up bringing some to work for lunch a added some merlot bellavitano cheese that a forum friend introduced me too (possible trigger for wine drinkers).
Tasty!

Nothing fancy, but a pretty mid-morning snack. Bran muffin with light cream cheese, blueberries and sparkling water with a splash of raspberry lemonade. It appears I also have an audience :yum:

Never heard of elote!? Is it the sweetcorn?

Yes! With butter mayo and cheese plus chili powder. I never tried it for so long because I used to hate mayo until recently lol.
