Foodies Unite #3 (trigger warning food) (Part 1)

Fish can go with mash sure but it should be relatively creamy but not like a pomme puree and it needs help with something like dill. I agree though, fish shouldn’t be stacked on top of mash - If were doing that then id put the salmon in the centre f the plate and then pipe 3 bits of mash around it.

If salmon is cooked to a nice medium (which I think it should) then yeah the pink looks good

Close, I’m in Cambridgeshire

I spatchcocked the hell out of this bird :upside_down_face:

I think I needed to cook it a little longer. The recipe I had said 425 for 45 minutes. Maybe an hour next time. But it was still good.

I got a chicken and rice soup in my future. And my favorite chicken salad. And since we’re snowed in I got time and leftovers.

Tonight I had a hankering for some schnitzel with mashed potatoes topped with mushroom gravy and toasted brussel sprouts (tossed in honey & balsamic).

Er excuse me, I am strong, independent woman and I don’t want no scrubs - I can be whatever I want to be whenever I want to be.

I love a good schnitzel. Never had a bad one.
That reminds me.
The first time I ever cooked for my father in law. I made a veal schnitzel. I got some nice veal. I planned everything hoping I wouldn’t fuck up. It was even at his house. A tad stressed I was. I thought It came out great! And there’s my father-in-law covering it in ketchup. I mean it was swimming in ketchup. :scream:. He said he liked it though!

My kids requested that I make more gravy than usual so I doubled the recipe, which means, double the gravy!!!

Sunday dinner from this past weekend.
Romaine salad with shaved carrots and red wine vinaigrette.
Spaghetti and meatballs (beef and pork) and toasted garlic rolls
And 4 chocolate chip cookies for dessert. In hindsight, 4 cookies was excessive. I could only eat 2 :joy:

I prefer rice.
Nice to see you back around. I hope you’re doing well.
I haven’t had a fried bologna sandwich for 100 years. Dad always made them. With ketchup of course. I made them for my kids too. Wifey?? Never gonna pull that off
