No food delivery this week cuz of the storm. Nothing defrosted. No steak night :weary:
Pulled out a Shepherds Pie from the freezer from Omaha Steaks.

It wasn’t bad. Little ketchup and horseradish tricked it out.
No cooking no clean up so I got that going for me.
Chow.

Are those spiders or octopuses on top?

Those look tasty! Reminded me I’d made lettuce wraps too a while back with our local pork. Yours are much prettier :joy: Is that a hot sauce on his?
My pork had lots of fat but lots of flavour. I have another pack in freezer so perhaps I’ll give those scotch eggs a go… maybe  :joy:

Oh my!!! Looks amazing :yum:

Those are beautiful! I had kind of forgotten about lettuce wraps and just didn’t want rice with mine so grabbed some romaine leaves. Unfortunately they were pretty bitter! I made some a couple times a few years ago using butter lettuce (looks like what you used here) and it was a Thai inspired chicken dish, soooo tasty. I think lettuce wraps are here to stay!

Yes I think this was butter lettuce. It was that “live lettuce” you buy with roots attached. These leaves were small but did the trick for the wraps :yum:
Today was going to make quiche with my leftover roasted broccoli. I’m in no mood to make crust from scratch and have no pie shells, so I might do crustless. But I love the crust!! :weary: :joy:

So full again. This time delivery of birthday sushi. We tried some new rolls and everything was tasty. So glad we have a decent Japanese restaurant in the middliest middle of America here.

Looks great :+1: So. Tell me? How many days is this birthday of yours?
Actually, you take as many days as you want. You deserve it :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Let me tell you, I have always loved birthdays. Mine and other people’s too. But my usual is to celebrate a weekend, and if my actual day lands on the weekday, I pick the weekend before or after.
