Foodies Unite #3 (trigger warning food) (Part 1)

Grilled chipotle Gouda and cheddar.

Found a carton of cherry tomatoes in the back of the crisper, chopped some lettuce. Spritzed some olive oil and chopped garlic and made a little tomato salad.

Thanks to you guys giving me all these ideas when I have leftover veggies in the fridge. Usually I’d just let it go bad and throw it out and have chips with my sandwich.

Sorry to my vegan friends… But damn I be liking me a big juicy medium rare steak. I did make 3 meals out of it, if that helps

My husband and I went for a lunch date at Pure Kitchen, a vegetarian restaurant. He was brave in trying the food and it was so good! Pictured is our Korean BBQ cauliflower wings, and I had the buffalo cauliflower wrap, with vegan cashew cheese poutine

Just came across this on Twitter. Anyone tried this? Looks like a good prepping hack.

One Pot American Chop Suey.
Came out great! Maybe more pasta.
And more cheese. Always more cheese.

What’s all in this? Is there bean sprouts? I’m not familiar with American chop suey  :yum:

It’s a beef macaroni and cheese and tomatoes casserole. Kid comfort food from the sixties and seventies. But usually you have to boil the macaroni in a pot. Ground beef and onions and peppers and make tomato sauce in a fry pan. Then mix it all in a casserole. Top with cheddar and bake it. Too many pots and pans. I’m too lazy for it. I been searching one pot recipes. And found it. We were pretty excited. My wife likes everything pasta and ground beef. The noodles cook while they simmer in the sauce at the end and I made it all in one pan. Similar to a Beefaroni.

Ah neat! I learn so much here. I’d not heard the term American chop suey before… My mum made something similar but called it goulash…

Goulash huh? Now there’s a million recipes for that one. My wife’s mother’s goulash is no where near my Grammy’s goulash. And neither one of them are like the Chefs Special at the Deli I worked in for 20 years. I’m googling goulash. Goulash Memes :rofl:

I had never heard the term either. I would have just called it like Beefy mac casserole.

I miss “real deal” pasta. GF, though they are getting better is just not the same.
