@Alisa
Very tempting.

I’m feeling better! Roasted a couple chicken breasts for the next couple days and made a spinach, blueberry, red onion and cucumber salad with a light vinaigrette. Cucumber was from my garden!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: So fresh, I needed that today.

Edit to add I NEVER ever thought I’d be a fruit in salad person. Shocks me today.

Pizza oven worked, went with basic ingredients…just in case the campfire was a bust…

We already have a list of specialty pizzas ready for our next camping trip

Strasbourg area Nancy and some other little French villages in Alsace Lorraine area. No big cities. Just fun little local villages. Kind of chillin and hanging out see what the day and the captain brings. I love not being in charge. I have no idea who where or why I’m here. We were suppose to be in Netherlands doing Gouda Vodka windmills and clogs :joy: Spring 2020 but COVID fucked that up for us. But thankfully I’m sober now because of it. I hope I don’t let you down.

Quinoa and bulgur with peaches… and avocado!

@Dazercat thanks for the pics, it is all So French, love how they had the cornichon, and whatever else, the little accoutrements that were on the side of the plate. The patisserie!! It is art! Like @Chiron said, good eye candy! I noticed the upside down muffins, that prob keeps them from getting squshed!
Edit to add: The beautiful pate looks like it is glistening with gold!
It looks wonderful!

@RosaCanDo So happy you are feeling better and getting your nutrition up to date! Your own cucumber!!!
Yum on the brie and turkey!
Awesome you like the fruit in the salad.
It is my number one food to take somewhere, for at least the last 15 years, and also is requested of me by others a whole lot, plus I love it. Nice when I take it somewhere, and there is not really any food there I want to eat, I have “the spinach and fruit salad” to eat.
Often I will also add walnuts, pecans, pistachios, etc., and often use a cranberry pear vinegar although I have gotten away from that vinegar a little lately.

Ketchup… I have made a lot of meatloaf with venison or ground turkey. I sauteed mushrooms and carrots, onions and celery to add to the meat, and then put ketchup on top.

I never really ate French fries until I went to the Netherlands and they eat them with mayonnaise and that is perfect!! So, mayo for me! @Runningfree

Always have ketchup in the fridge or on the shelf though.

N.B. Because it is a cooked tomato product it is somewhat of a health food product and high in antioxidants (lycopene).

I missed out on the rhubarb posts earlier.
I’ve never seen a rhubarb jam.
It was great on this croissant :yum:

I had to get another :croissant:
And my waitress gave me 2 jams to go. She said they get them special and probably can’t find them around here.

My aunt makes a delicious rhubarb and ginger jam, which is my absolute favourite flavour.

Pretty plate. Took my time with the eggs and it always pays off.

Steel cut oats with plain Greek yogurt and strawberry rhubarb quick refrigerator jam. The jam is so lovely and not too sweet.

And some to freeze. I’m curious if it will keep well frozen. Someday I’ll get the courage to can things…:grimacing:
