My dinner I cooked tonight, was recommended to post it on this thread
Eggs and avocado and three colored pepper and tarragon vinegar
Greek yogurt with extra virgin olive oil and French sea salt
Apple and banana
Bon appetit everyone
Food is life.
Time to clear out the fridge breakfast:
Egg scramble with green and red onion, mini peppers, spinach and the leftover grilled chicken and broccoli from my dinner last night over blue corn tortilla chips with sliced avocado, guac and watermelon side
Jarred a gallon of kimchi at midnight and it’s already bubbling. Probably time to refrigerate before it reaches the top.
I used tap water for the “porridge” last time and it took 2 days to show activity, purified water this time. Who knows what’s in this town water.
Took a break from stressing over my brother’s passing to make a meal. Cooking can be therapeutic (even if I’m not great at it )
Chicken was nice and tender. Whether the marinade helped, or I didn’t overlook (like I usually do).
Plate I made for hubby:
I love spaghetti but I stopped eating red meat years ago. I have been trying out different pasta bakes since then and I think I like this the one the best. Used turkey pepperoni and cheese and bacon bits on half to test that out. I used the Bertolli chunky vegetable marinara, which is my favorite
Avocado @Juli1
Zucchini, yellow summer squash, ( you Euros do not usually have it, I do not think, also called crook neck squash) red bell pepper, green bell pepper
Kiwi
Bon appetit everyone

Oh @Salty i am so sorry to hear of your loss. This morning I was thinking about how…for better or worse…food has imbedded in me as being synonymous with caring for others and loving others. Then I realized that my checking of the foodie thread daily makes me feel more connected to those of us who post here than pretty much any one else on the forum! I’m sending you lots of love today as you navigate your grief❤️
Yesterday, my aunt (who is probably most responsible for imprinting the food is love idea on me ) came to meet my son! Now granted my idea of food is love is ever shifting towards a healthier, more whole nutritious food place than she comes from, but, she means to bring the love all the same.
As a result, I did not grocery shop this week! And will be eating the fridge for likely the entire next week.
Eat the fridge breakfast of hard boiled eggs, leftover melon cut into fruit salad, leftover spicy guac AND gluten and dairy free lemon bars
(So naughty….so delicious)
Second pic bc I loved the yolks
I feel this way, also. It’s a big part of my upbringing and my culture. I’m glad you have a fridge full for the week! It’s a good feeling.
Brunch today is a crappy bagel (oh well!) with low fat cream cheese, “blackened” deli turkey meat, avocado and some chili lime seasoning my Mami gave me on this recent visit. It’s a tasty spice mix but I need to empty the bottle out and mix the spices up again because the big chunks are at the top of the little jar and the small stuff settled to the bottom. I’m just grateful to be having a good health/less pain day and can enjoy this!
Ohhhh, emmm geeeee! This is beyond adorable!
