The original chicken salt is indeed an Australian invention.
It has changed flavour a bit since first introduced though. The original is still the best to those who can remember it.

A few places here do chicken salt that is roasted chicken skin with garlic and rosemary that’s crisped to a dry blendable consistency then blitzed into powder, with salt, and that’s how I know chicken salt!
