Tuna casserole. The ultimate comfort food. Remembered to put the cheddar jack Cheez-Its on top this time. lol
My wife’s mom’s recipe has Cheez-Its on top. The rest of it is probably completely different. It’s been ages since she’s made it that way. Looks good.
I got the idea from an old friend’s mom years ago. Make it the same way she makes her chicken casserole. It’s basically egg noodles, sautéed onion, celery, and garlic, frozen peas, cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, and whichever meat you choose. Pretty sure you can throw anything you want in there.
Today was healthy comfort food sunday. Scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, chilli, onion, garlic, ginger and carrot. Topped with chopped tomato, cilantro and yoghurt.
As it was the first breakfast on the new deck I had tea AND coffee.
Lunch was asparagus risotto decorated with chopped tomato and avocado. Oh man, this was delicious. I celebrate vaccation at home
I’ll make one today I love it with potatoes, carrots and peas
