A chorizo and eggs kinda brunch today.
I’m backing up @Salty on this one. I ate a peanut butter and pickle sandwich probably weekly in my bagged lunch. It was a Mom thing.
The Dad thing I fell for? Willingly and gratefully handing over all the “suspicious-looking” mars bars from my halloween candy.
I neglected you all and forgot to post our amazing grill out dinner last night. Gosh, it was a perfect night. I love our new home.

For you, 24 hours a day
I went out for brunch recently and was in the mood for this. It was the first time I ordered it from this highly rated brunch restaurant. It looked like someone had mashed up a barely ripened avocado on a piece of seeded toast and that was it. NO flavor.
I have a ripened avocado in my fridge right now and tomorrow I’m having avocado toast my way.

I do like mine better than most restaurants.
I like a squeeze or 2 of fresh lime juice. I like some jalapeños. And maybe a bit of pico. Or maybe a bit of salsa. Depending what I have in the house.
I will have to try the pickle and the peanut butter. I have never even heard of it; where have I been all my life…

I did see peanut butter super glopped on one of @Dazercat hamburgers!
Oatmeal… yes, I CAN turn the bowl upside down without it falling out.
I cook it in a huge bowl.
One overflow is one too many in my book! I eat lots of fruit, not on my oatmeal.

Food is life.
Breakfast burritos from leftover weekend goodies with my husband on my team. He is the expert roller, I can’t roll a burrito to save my life! Chorizo and eggs with chopped tater tots, guacamole, cheddar cheese and sour cream. Getting the week started off right (decadently!).
Dinner tonight
•Quick fry porkchops in the cast iron skillet
• Rice
• A side of Roasted chickpeas & lentils with sautéed mushrooms & a hint of basil
