Dang it…forgot to post breakfast earlier!

Gluten Free Toast with avocado/tomatillo guac, heirloom tomato w/ smoked salt and pepper, over easy egg, vegan feta and some of my buddies homemade hot sauce (hard to see bc it’s yellow!)

Yes I ordered the Gouda mash potatoes even though the French onion short ribs came with risotto.
I couldn’t help but think of Primo in Big Night :joy:

@Thirdmonkey Wow on the canner!
@Dazercat looks delicious although I have no idea who Primo is… will google…

Peach!
Blueberries, Fage and probiotic
Zucchini, red bell pepper, tomatillos
The same with feta… I am able to eat the fat free feta… I don’t, but if I ended up eating the whole container it is not a big deal. Not like eating a whole big hunk of cheese.

Editing to my post.
@RosaCanDo I Googled casera. I also googled comal. That word I have heard often but did not know the definition. Plus I think I’ve had the utensil before.
@Dazercat I understand now about Primo.
Do you remember a long time ago we had the thread about the restaurant movies? Or the food movies?
I remember I posted the link for a documentary for the ‘best restaurant in the world’ in Spain. It was a movie I had seen at an art gallery.

Bon appetit everyone
Food is life.

Yeah, casera literally means “of the house” or homemade, but it’s usually your basic red tomato based salsa with jalapeño or serrano chiles and onions, etc. I like the Herdez brand as well as their green salsa “verde.”

They were pork links. The kids like one particular type of sausage and I went around five shops trying to get them.

Thank you. I know what it is, it’s not so common here. We mostly have the Hot Dog kinds here, even if there is pork link kinds such as Salsiccia.

Anyway I need to try this with brown gravy now

I love the Vegan Feta cheese. It never lasts long enough to cook with over here,I buy it with intention of using it. Get home, only wants to try a piece and see if it’s good. Dice it and then, boom all gone.

I’ve also found Vegan Camembert when we where at the Norwegian border. That was divine.

Oooo Camembert!

I e got to say…they’re doing better things with vegan cheese these days! I was vegan in college about 20 years ago…and the fake cheese was……gross.

Now, while not vegan, I can’t have dairy and…I feel the options are way better! Most of the time, I just don’t have any cheese or cheese substitute. But once in a while, you want that unctuous creaminess! I’m not saying it’s as good as cheese… But it’s as good as I am going to get!

The REAL winner, though, Hass to be non-dairy ice cream. The soya ice cream of yesteryear left a lot to be desired. But the new coconut-based ice creams, and even the dairy, free, chocolate sorbetto, are all absolutely awesome!

Turkey and Colby jack quesadilla with a low carb spinachy wrap and salsa. Still on the search for a good low carb wrap, but I find I prefer them toasted versus right out of the package.

Someone decided it was a good idea to make enough soup for an army. Yeah, it seemed like a good idea at the time! But it really hits the spot. A lighter, summery flavor using almost all local and farmers market ingredients: local ground pork from my freezer, homemade chicken stock, market cabbage (the sweetest!), tomatoes, zucchini, onion, carrots, celery. Store bought jar of great northern beans and Italian spices.

I use these. I’ve never toasted them so that might not work. Over ten years ago they had tomato/ basil ones but no longer do. Yours always look delicious whatever they are.

I use these. Ten in a pack. 50 calories.

They also have these. Only 8 in the package for more money. More carbs etc.
