I’d be wrapping the mozzarella in puff pastry
@Tragicfarinelli
Went to breakfast at our new favorite place and I went to town on some biscuits and gravy with fried chicken and eggs on top. I used to mock these kinds of breakfasts with the fried chicken but man oh man!!! I died and went to heaven. I think the chicken was brined in pickle juice. It was so flipping amazing! I’m glad I didn’t take an after photo because I ate way more than I expected to…
Serve with the artichoke dip
I was going to add that to my post
I’m sure I’d find a way to add in the cultured butter too
This right here is one of the biggest resigns GF upsets me about! There aren’t too many, but that! Yes!
I can’t even imagine, what a bummer. But if it’s any consolation I ate enough for the both us, Jeńe.
Leftover pasta. I threw in some slices of the mozzarella ball and pesto. People: Pesto flavor is almost 100%! Mini all the rest, but yay pesto!!
There must be something lost in translation between US to UK here Biscuits… and gravy? X
Totally! I am 1st born American from a UK Grandma and New Zealand born Dad.
It freaked her out for her whole life!
Google American biscuits (scones) and gravy (sausage milk gravy). It’s a southern American food that is sure to spike your cholesterol but tastes amazing. If seasoned properly.
Oh my god that’s awesome!!! You found a flavor profile you can work from, then.
Stir fried veggies, a ginger soy sauce and grilled chicken and giant Argentinian shrimp. Served with jasmine rice.
Finally breakfast!!! I spent the whole morning (after walking doggos) cleaning my Jeep for my road trip later this week
Thanks @RosaCanDo. I’ve had a Google. Some look like scones. Others like dumplings. Is that a fair comparison? I’m intrigued X
I didn’t clean out my jeep
But I did clean out some veggies from my fridge before it was too late. And scrambled up som broccoli cauliflower onions jalapeño and cheese with some corn tortillas on the side.
Well, there are definitely different variations of American “biscuits,” some are bigger and flakier depending on how they’re made, I think it really depends on if they’re made with butter or with shortening or lard. There are also “drop biscuits” which are just what they sound like, batter dropped on a baking sheet as opposed to rolled out and cut out with a round cutter, which could definitely look and seem more like dumplings. It’s really just flour, water or milk/buttermilk, butter and baking powder usually. I’ve only ever made drop biscuits because I’m lazy! But it is on my bucket list to perfect the other kind because I know they aren’t hard to make, just takes practice. Kind of like pie dough takes some practice and then it’s second nature. I’m glad you took an interest!
Thank you for your detailed reply Rosa
