Friday night without wine?

Feeling like a huge failure. Sorry all. Gnight

Just think no wine on Friday means you can wake up on Saturday feeling hella better! You got this. Tonight I did some meal preparation, ran my cats with the laser pointer, wrote in my journal, and now about to sit with a movie and a coloring book. I have faith in ya!

Yesss, La Croix has been my go-to-drink lately. Going on 23 days sober:) I walked down the alcohol isle at the store today and thought, a nice cold beer sounds so good right now!!! Instead I walked passed the demons and went to the other isle and picked up an 8 pk of Passionfrut La Croix. Enjoying a nice Friday evening, sober. Much love to everyone here❤️

So true! When I was drinking I just drank alcohol, and water the next morning. When I decided to get sober, I cleared out the fancy drink aisle in the grocery store, things I’d never bought or tried before. All the juices, sparkly waters etc. And if I find myself craving a “drink”, I’ve been getting into making fancy mocktails. That and chocolate, does wonders!

Now you can enjoy Saturday morning :sunrise_over_mountains:.

Try the sodastream! You can make all sorts of fizzy drinks! Costco has a decent starting package & bed bath &beyond has replacement canisters. I’m so glad I got one, way easier to make larger drinks in my tumbler

I’ve thought of getting one a few times; I eyeball them when I go to Target, lol

Better for the environment too?? So your not buying all the plastic and cans?? We are trying to do our share. And you think it taste just as good as a LaCroix.?

Sugar free? Not artificial sweetener taste ?

Honestly, I usually drink it cold, without flavor. There are some little bottles of unsweetened flavor you can get, which are pretty decent. Sometimes a little twist of lemon or lime, or a little mint from the garden is a nice sweetener-free touch.

Man, I sound like Martha Stewart

I know I’ll be googling all this. But… so it comes out cold? I like it cold but without ice. If I know me I’ll get lazy and blow off the flavor after awhile. Like I take my coffee black now and my tea without sugar.

if you use cold water it comes out cold. I just use lime and a touch of simple syrup. I love it. beats hauling 1000 cans and bottles out to recycle.

My fridge has a chilled water tap, so I use that. Another thing I have seen people do is keep their bottles in the refrigerator, and then carbonate them when they’re ready to drink one.

They’re supposed to save money over the canned stuff, but I drink so much sparkling water that I am getting a new CO2 bottle once every couple of weeks.

I am considering getting a refilling hose on Amazon for 50 bucks and keeping a 5lb CO2 cylinder in my garage to recharge the bottles myself (otherwise it’s like 15 bucks).

I might be addicted, but at least it’s not booze, right?

That’s what I’m starting to think too. And I want to at least try and be more environmentally friendly. We will look into one this week.

Interesting. The CO2 part. Cuz I as well go through a ton of sparkling. I have cases of it in my garage. Will be looking into it. Thanks.
